It's frustrating that there are no convincing clues, but I'm really glad, because the blatant "phone number" clue in Mole 2 was so clear that
once you got it, it was 100% clear who the Mole was. I enjoy the process of thinking everything is a clue.
I should say there was one clue that I thought was real for sure--Victoria's thumbprints.

Jon came in with 10 new journals for the players and said they could have their original number back if they wanted it. He then started around the table and gave 1 to Kristen, then Paul, and then Nicole dug through the stack and pulled out number 9. 
He then looked toward Alex and they were speaking but I believe Alex was declining the offer and kept his original journal. Jon then started back toward his chair with 7 journals in his hands. I also believe Craig kept his original because look at him writing in it during the ride in the van. 
I don't know how well it comes across in the still pictures but as Craig is writing in his journal he keeps going back and comparing things in the beginning of it with things in later parts. He is at least 20 pages or so into it and couldn't have written that much just during that morning. It's very apparent watching the video. This would suggest that he kept his original. Having only 10 new ones and Jon telling the players they could have their original number, he must have known he didn't need to replace numbers 11 and 12. We know that Alex has number 12 because in episode 4 when he gave his up Jon called attention to it by announcing it was number 12. I went back to double check and he did say that. So where could number 11 be?

Is this show in HD? Anyone with an HD shot of that could tell us Craig's Journal #. Zooming in on that, you do see two same-shaped dark spots side by
side. "11" is quite likely.

Then Jon showing his diary on episode 1 would be the most obvious and stupidest clue ever since Anderson showing Kathryn's bag. Not to mention Craig is the
eleventh to appear in the opening credits. Never thought I'd say this but I'm actually starting to think I should abandon the Clay ship and jump over
to Craig's.

At this point I think that I'm abandoning Mark's ship and jumping over to Craig's as much as I hate to do so. Craig would be such a disappointing
Mole to me and I don't want to believe it but all this speculation which points to him makes it hard to deny.

Alex is the mole.
But that Craig stuff...I don't know. They were supposed to be "dumbing down" the clues but those seem a little too obvious. Plus Craig being the mole would totally ruin this season for me. Also the way Nicole and Paul have been shown I think they are both in it for the long haul. I think Clay will be executed next and then we will get to the "shocking" executions. :) |
