Marcus - Meh, but not surprised Jim - Meh Esther - Yay Papa CJ - Seriously? Sean - Are you fucking kidding me? I hate this show. He did a minute of lame Vegas and 2 minutes of bad songs. Iliza - Yay Louis - Yay OK, 3 out of 4, so I'm somewhat happy. Seriously, though, CJ and Sean? |

I don't think Esther is so much a gimmick as others. She does a couple jokes with the "Asian voice," but she doesn't do the Dat Phan "I
stole Margaret Cho's mother jokes with the voice for my whole act."

I was wanting to see that Asian girl as she looked funny but I had to turn it to SYTYCD at 8:00 so I didn't get to see her.
Hopefully I will be able to see her in a rerun on Bravo or something. |

Much better results this time around.
Marcus -- It took a bit to get there, but when he sang his Oompa Loompa song to Britney, I was cracking up. His set was creative and nice to see he can do more than impressions. Then he killed with that impression of Christopher Walken threatening to stab fatty in the face with a hot poker if they didn't send Marcus through. Loved it & glad he made it to the finals. Esther -- I think she was pretty good and definitely one of the better women comics this season, so a good choice to put through. A couple of my best friends are Korean and I like how she walks that fine line of making fun of her race, but not too obvious and gimicky. Koreans do love to make fun of themselves. Papa CJ -- Glad he made it. His set was hot & cold for me. Some repeat jokes, but they were still funny and approrpriate to keep the flow of his set going. He's different and it keeps things interesting. Hope he has a lot more material and I'm looking forward to seeing more. Louis -- I was worried he wasn't going to make it when they left him to last. He was my second favorite after Marcus. It would have been a crime not to put him onto the finals. But after the ridiculously lames choices last week, I was worried. These four will make the show for me . . . . that and YAY FOR BRINGING BACK THE HOUSE!!!! There is hope for this season yet. |

I watched just like last week and then cut out before they announced the ones that made it knowing it would enrage me..after having just seen them all and
knowing who sucked and who actually delivered.
I LOVED - the 1st girl that went maybe named Eliza that immitated commercials for pizza and Dentyne Ice Gum. Her other jokes worked for me as well. - Dan Cummings (the 2st guy that went w/ longer hair) - his whole set worked for me - Marcus - The Charlie and the Chocolate Factory joke fell way flat but I love his impressions and he built up enough good repor w/ me to want to see him advance. - Stone & Stone - I can't help it..they are funny. I HATED -That girl fromWI w/ the baby voice. I can not stand her voice. It's impossible for me to sit and listen to but I attempted and luckily her jokes were shit so I cut out based on that rather than just her voice this time. I heard up to the cookie/lard joke which sucked and switched the channel. - Papa CJ - His whole act is about the same thing (Indians taking American jobs) every single time and I hate the way he nods his head & smiles constantly as he talks. The delivery drives me up the wall. - The guy that did that World War 2 recreation. OMG was that painful to watch. Bombed. No one else stood out to me as good or bad....just a bunch of meh. So ...now ruin my day..which of those I actually liked made it? ..and which shitty ones did as well? |
