Brandon Buddy showed some acting chops on Friday. Great scenes with Starr; while Kristen Alderson seemed to be a little out of her emotional league, Cole's pain, anger, rejection, and loss were always right at the surface. I generally dislike it when guys cry on soaps, but Buddy found the appropriate amount of waterworks. And the cliffhanger with Todd was great - you know this isn't going to go over well at all. Hopefully, they won't cop out and have Starr lose the baby; there are too many interesting possibilities for this story to have it end with an unfortunate tumble down the stairs.

David Vickers continues to be the star of the show. And pairing him with the canine David Vickers was comic genuis. I haven't been much of a fan of the '68/'08 storyline, but the bit with David losing his reflection was well played. And against my better judgment, I am starting to wonder how Bo and Rex will manage to find their way back to 2008 without screwing up the future.

The "wedding to royalty against her will" story was played out on Days of Our Lives about 15 years ago when Jennifer Horton married Lawrence Alamain; hopefully, Thalia won't end up being raped like Jennifer was. And they better not be taking Brody down that path with Gigi. One of the biggest turnoffs about General Hospital is the fact every Iraq vet has turned out to be a criminal, a psychopath, or both. Wouldn't it be refreshing to have Brody move on with Tess? He's already proven he can be a father to another man's kids, and he has both a dark and a caring side that could complement whichever side of Tess/Jessica happens to be in the room that day.

Marty and Todd have been fascinating, but the whole thing is pretty sick. What will they do with Todd when Marty gets her memory back? I sure hope they're not setting her up to have seen a new/vulerable side of Todd, because that would be a betrayal of their history. It feels like they might be setting the stage for Todd's murder. The list of suspects is already starting to stack up - Marty, Cole, Michael, Marcy, John, Blair, and my pick, a post-partum Starr.

Was the entire population of Mendora at the wedding? The country must be smaller than Vatican City. It didn't even look like they had enough people to staff the castle. I particularly loved the 4 extras who showed up in peasant garb. Don't they know you shouldn't try to do a crowd scene if you don't have the budget?
