Collingwood is NOT in northern Ontario, unless you define "northern" as anywhere above the Toronto suburbs. I stayed in the area in late May (there were still a few patches of snow at the Blue Mountain ski area). It is just 70 miles north of Toronto, at the southern end of Georgian bay.Collingwood is like 10 minutes from Wasaga Beach so I don't see why anyone would classify that as Northern.
