Well, when Pat Buchanan doesn't represent the right-wing, something has fundamentally changed. Personally, I really like the "Race for the White House" show on MSNBC. It's got at least four people with some different views and it's not the whole "I'm going to pimp my candidate thing". It's refreshing to hear the left and the right bash their own guys.

I think MSNBC is trying to be the lefter version of FNC because they know more americans are left of Foxnews. What they don't know is the left wingers don't watch as much cable TV as right wingers because they have lives and don't live in mobile homes. Senior citizens love FNC.

Which ended up being problematic in itself, because now the good people of Belarus will hear McCain's attempt at "funny", and be like, WTF did we ever do to McCain? We'll have to see if the board's right-leaning posters have an explanation for "mental recession" today. I drive about 100 miles a day during the workweek, so I can assure ex-Sen. Gramm (who I generally like) and his wife the finance guru Wendy (who is a bit smarmy for my taste) that $4.10/gallon gasoline is not a figment of my imagination.

And obviously the way it's been going up is just terrible. But I think psychologically - and a lot of our problems today, as you know, are psychological - the confidence, trust, the uncertainty about our economic future, ability to keep our own home. This might give them a little psychological boost. Let's have some straight talk, it's not a huge amount of money. April 2008 Watch McCain - he's said numerous times that it's "psychological."

For everything gubmit "fixes", the gubmit inadvertently fucks something up. But that doesn't change the fact that the good Senator Gramm misspoke. Nor the fact that McCain couldn't find a microphone fast enough to throw him under the campaign bus (despite the fact, as Nubbie has pointed out, that McCain recently used similar words to describe the recession.)
