I feel great about Zorn. The players seem to appreciate the man for the amount of respect he shows them, yet he keeps the team in line.

RUMBLE AT THE SYMPOSIUM Posted by Mike Florio on July 2, 2008, 9:01 p.m. The NFL's rookie symposium often provides a little offseason intrigue. In 2004, the late Sean Taylor was fined for not showing up. In 2006, Titans running back Lendale White asked former NFL defensive lineman Esera Tualo, who came out of the closet after his career ended, "Is it offensive if I call you a **** if you are a ****?" Last year, Ravens quarterback Troy Smith asked Commissioner Roger Goodell when or if he'll begin to focus on some of the positive things about NFL players. This time around, things got physical. A league source tells us that, at the 2008 rookie symposium, two players (who'll remain nameless for now) got into a fight. The incident was broken up by Rob Davis, a former long snapper who currently serves as the Packers' director of player development. As the source said, "They were told not to let the incident leave the room, but it did." We might eventually identify the players. For now, we'll tell you that one of them was a first-round draft pick. |

Pats fans like ABart have to live with the fact that the King of NY aka Eli thwarted their perfect season and ultimately ended their lil dynasty. The dynasty is just beginning, baby. I GUARANTEE a Super Bowl victory this year for the New England Godtriots |

So apparently the thought of not seeing his name in print scared the heck out of Favre and he decided he needed to stir the pot a bit.

The whole situation stinks I wish Favre would just ride off into the sunset.

I don't think Favre is to blame here. None of this is coming from him -- it's media people grilling his mom and brother and whoever else. I swear they
sit outside his farm with binoculars and say "OMG, he's wearing a green shirt! That means he's going back to the Packers!"
That having been said, I'd love to see Favre in Vikings' purple. . . . |

They were talking about this issue on NFL network last night. If Favre wants to play next year, the Packers have rights to him and can sign him for next
season. Then they have the option to trade him or let him play. If they don't sign him (or drop him outright), then he would become an unrestricted free
agent and could sign with anyone (eg, Vikings or Bears or any other NFC team that wants him). So the Packers would be insane to allow that to happen.
Most likely scenario is the Pack signs him and trades him to an AFC team. I don't know if Favre's contract would give him the right to veto any trade. I can't see him coming back to play for the Jets or Dolphins or some other shitty team. I'd kinda like to see him on the Ravens, if he comes back. |

I'd hate to see him on the Ravens. Those ffukers are evil and he's supposed to be a good guy. But you're right, that'd be a good fit. How was
their offensive line last year?
I can't imagine that he'd play anywhere else than GB. Then again, I couldn't imagine last month that he'd insert himself back into the same ol' same ol' retirement sportstalk catnip topic. He's like a horror monster. Just when you think you've heard the last of the "will Favre retire" bloviating, heeeeeeeee's baaaaaaaaack. |

This is going to get pretty ugly because it is pretty clear Favre HATES Thompson and vice versa.

Yup, it is pretty sad. I've always liked Favre (as much as any Minnesotan can), and he's always seemed a pretty class act. All the other players in the
NFL love him. It would be sad to see ugliness between him and the Packers. And I can only imagine how enraged Packers fans would be if Favre played for any
other team. And how much harder it would be for Rodgers -- can't you picture every network showing side-by-side comparisons of Favre's and Rodgers'
stats all season long?
Please stay on the farm, Brett! Please! |

If Brett does continue his career elsewhere will he go into Canton as a Packer or his next team?

As a Packer without question.
Remember this sad footnote to Montana's career?
