Breaking Balls: Arizona Diamondback Chris Snyder Busts A Nut

Arizona Diamondbacks catcher Chris Snyder became the latest major leaguer to suffer an odd injury this week on a foul tip. The diagnosis: Snyder has a fractured testicle. When asked by a reporter how he felt about his injury Snyder replied "how the fuck do you think I feel?" as he and his testicle were immobilized on a stretcher outside of the ballpark.

Testicular rupture or fractured testis refers to a rip or tear in the tunica albuginea resulting in extrusion of the TC (Testicular Contents).

This is not to be confused with a prolapsed rectum which is common with baseball players on the San Francisco Giants during partnered "stretching exercises" conducted in the team shower stalls.

Snyder will be on the 15-day DL until his testicle heals and he passes a psychiatric evaluation to prevent the fear of hard objects hitting his scrotum at 98 MPH.
