Oh, the horror. People are bigots. Luckily most of them would never vote for a democrat anyway so it's not like he's loosing out on votes. Hell, we could use a viable fourth and fifth party. I am sick to death of our politics being about two choices, and our discussion being limited by them, as if there aren't a myriad of possible solutions to our problems.

I have never had a presidential candidate that I actually liked -- I just hold my nose and vote for the lesser of two evils. I keep waiting for the parties to re-align, so I can have a fiscally conservative/socially liberal candidate to vote for. I've heard commentators say that 40% of the electorate is conservative and 40% liberal, and the middle 20% decide the election. I think it's more like 10-10-80%. You have a few idiots screaming on each side, and the rest of us bored or angry. But look at the last few elections: Perot took enough votes from the Republicans to put Clinton in office. Nader's impact is more debatable, since he got very few votes, but lots of Dems blame him for 2000. And Bob Barr could pull enough conservatives to give Obama the win. Third party candidates can't win, but they sure can affect an election.

Obama and his supporters have been the only ones to use race in the campaign. Bill Clinton was the first to introduce race, but the msm, especially Foxnews, also made sure everyone knew that Obama was - not like us but black.
