BTW, I remember when 800 x 600 res. was something to brag about. The resolution on my current screen (17") is only 1280 x 1024, but prefer them as big as possible, as I can re-size them. |

Great so these should work ok. I reposted them to a new folder once I saw what happened on the resizing
Now there is a wallpaper binary on usenet still and my usenet program has a search in it that searches every group out there for whatever I type in. If you recall usenet was a pita to find things. Not now. It even automatically puts the parts back together into the avi or whatever the file is I use it for getting the BBUK and AU shows. Downloading todays UK as I type |

graphics that I remember, just text. I used programs like squirrel & archie (can't remember names) to search stuff. YUK.

I disagree, what is working for Taylor wouldn't work for Carrie because Carrie isn't the same type of artist as Taylor. Carrie is about the image and
the appearance and the vocal tricks whereas Taylor is about the music and the artistry of being a singer/songwriter. Taylor is genuine country and Carrie is a
pop singer who found a niche in country music duplicating a sound and style that already worked for someone else, namely Shania Twain and Faith Hill.
It is interesting to note that Carrie had a 58% increase in sales following her performances on the Idol finale this year but that increase only produced sales of 24,932 for the week. Compare that to the same time last year with SH sales she saw sales of 51,443 for an album that was over a year and a half old. IDK how the Carrie fans can make claims that this album is doing okay saleswise... |

I understand Carrie is not Taylor -- obviously, but the Carrie fad is fading. Taylor is fresh & a real country ARTIST not just a country singer. Taylor proves that it's not just about the voice-- it's about selling the song.. If she can put out singer/songwriter songs like Taylor, I think she can resurrect her sinking career. I Know You Won't is perfect for Carrie-- it seems like a singer/songwriter to me.. I can so picture Kelly singing this! If Carrie could have more songs like THAT I think it would help her career. Edit: I think 19 is looking at the same numbers you are looking at ILGE & the rest of the world is looking at for that matter-- which is why they signed Kristy Lee so quickly & have already begun recording. I'm sure they want Kristy Lee to take over since the Carrie formula is no longer working.. It happens in Pop music all the time.
