We've gotten spoiled (no pun intended) because Dani at Survivor Skills gave the entire cast for China before filming was over. Contestant spoilers may be harder to come by now that TDT is no longer spoiling. For Cook Islands there were a lot of false leads (eg. Bob Ballantyne and Traci Kelley) as the ethnic based tribes threw the spoiling community for a loop and most of the cast was not spoiled. For Guatemala, about half of the cast was spoiled ahead of time. For Vanuatu and Palau, Snewser had his confirmator program which allowed the casts of both of those seasons to be spoiled before those seasons started airing. But for both of those seasons, only a few contestants were spoiled before filming ended. For the seasons prior to All Stars, for any of those seasons, at most a few names were known prior to the actual cast reveal.

Actually, all names were known for Africa prior to it's cast reveal. Lindsey Richter was the first, I believe.

I think someone got a hold of the Africa cast list shortly before the official CBS cast reveal. As I recall, we know about Lindsey, Silas, Big Tom, Lex and Kim Powers before the cast list was found.

If Crystal is in fact on Survivor Gabon, then she was spoiled before filming even started so her being discovered as one of the first would have no bearing on her placement.
