RE: Nail clippers, they don't put them in the medical kit?
I can't recall seeing any men who lasted a while with long nails. I have to cut mine once a week, so unless I bit them, they'd be all girly and stuff if I reached Day 39. |

Eliza, you mentioned that you're an Obama supporter. Good for you, your political awareness and your support for change.
Black celebrities can generally be categorized as either challengers of the status quo or 'bargainers': people who endear themselves to the mainstream through their actions but who don't otherwise challenge perceptions very much. Mainstream America can't stand challengers, such as Jesse Jackson but is happy to glorify bargainers such as Michael Jordan, Oprah Winfrey and Tiger Woods. My question is this: Which camp do you think Obama belongs to and, would it be possible fo him to win the presidency by being more of a 'challenger' than a ''bargainer'? Muhammad Ali is probably the only person I can think of who was ultimately successful by being a challenger. Do you think Obama can be successful by truly challenging the status quo? |

Can we not turn this into an Election 2008 thread? We all know that Eliza is a democrat who supported John Edwards, and since Obama was endorsed by Edwards,
she supports Obama.
An actual question I have though is what are the political views of some of the other people on Micronesia? Judging by your question to Parvmanda about candidates running for president, I'm guessing they would fall under the category of "Apathetic", but what about everyone else (or just whoever you know)? |
