I know, but I ended up really liking this edition of the "I Love the..." series, even if they were kind of impatient and not waiting until the end of the decade. Can't wait until 2010 for the next edition!

I'm coming up with a list right now of what I would think would be included in the next edition. I'm calling it, "I Love the New Millennium: Episode Two," but I'm not sure that's a good enough title considering that it's named after Episode Two of Star Wars, which sucked ass.

The Dateline: To Catch a Predator segment could've been a lot funnier, but I did crack up when the blonde chick called it "Punk'd: The Pedophile Edition".

I Love the New Millennium: Episode Two (2000)

So, you think you're a new millennium fan? Okay, Patrick Bateman, can you handle this? This is "I Love the New Millennium: Episode Two" and the year is 2000. The flicks, the tunes, the trends, the totally awesome year that gave us these burning questions:

What was Barbie's stand on border security? How naughty was it watching "Coyote Ugly?" Why didn't the crew of the "Andrea Gail" check the weather report ahead of time?

The answer to these questions plus: Doing things you normally do in life with your Sims. The California blackout converts Los Angeles into the Stone Age.

Yeah, things in bold will not be covered. Who the hell is Vitamin C? The Perfect Storm was a horrible movie. Coyote Ugly please. Say My Name is a bad song, American Psycho while good just doesn't have that much mainstream appeal, and Survivor SUCKS is the funniest place on earth it would be competition to VH1.

I'm glad to see that nine out of fifteen ain't bad. :) For the songs, I went with those that were kinda popular, but some of the artists and groups are now defunct or just a one-hit wonder. And no, ANTM was not covered.

I'll post my list for 2001 tomorrow if people want me too.

I kind of liked reliving news stories like Choosing the Next Pope/Black Smoke! White Smoke!, Runaway Bride, and the Bat Shit Crazy Astronaut Woman. Bill Dwyer's impression of that drunken freak Pat O'Brien was kind of funny. That's about it. I thought the way they handled the 9/11 aftermath was stupid. There was no real way to do it right, so it just ended up looking awkard and cheesy and they should have left it out.

But you couldn't have just left 9/11 out of the 2001 episode. It was the biggest thing that happened that year and if they were reminising about the year's biggest pop culture topics that certainly had to be included. I think that it would have been worse of them to leave it out. At least they covered it.

I dunno why they would do a feature on XBox since it's one of about a half dozen game formats that were succesful if anything I think it might be more interesting to do a segment on Dreamcast since it was the only one that tanked.

AWW,you gave my hopes up.What I saw of this show was kind of creepy.Being nostalgic about the year 2000 already? I remember practically everything about where I was/what I did in 2000, so its just weird.I liked Jonny Fairplay having a came though
