Oh no. My elimination has sent max into an insane, green-tea-sipping fantasy land.

Ew. Asian desserts = so much sugar you can see through time. I suppose rice crackers would be okay, but I had a piece of raspberry licorice with my tea. Mmm, so much better than regular licorice. Even though it's not really licorice at all...

If only the Fast Forward had come up in this leg. Actually I was sure it was going to, because there's supposed to be two left which means that now one team will get a free pass into the final three, and I hate to see that kind of thing. Maybe if it had come up then Nimber would have taken it and I could have avoided being U-Turned... though it's pretty likely that someone else would have done it to me. Why is it that the only times the U-Turn came up were in the two legs where I wasn't consistently at the front of the pack?

It really pisses me off that I didn't check that the Mama Cass song hadn't been used in the first page of songs, because if I'd done that I might have got through. Or if I'd stuck with the first Detour a little longer - I ended up figuring out the equation for 82 while I was waiting for updates (oh yeah, faster updates when everyone was doing freaking writing and research tasks might have helped me too), so I was disappointed that I got a different number when I returned. Anything that slowed me down a couple of updates could have kept me in if I'd done a little better, because I really lucked out by everyone else picking the harder Roadblock stations.

I really think Tyra & Janice were this season's Wan & Chung. Both were formidable female teams taken out too early, and both were U-Turned twice. Though mine came from two different teams. If only the Intersected U-Turn had taken Nimber's ability to do it away as well - that kind of pisses me off as well, because only one person's U-Turn ended up harming two teams. Oh well, a tiny part of me is kind of pleased that I was seen as a big enough threat to U-Turn twice. But a larger part wishes I was able to do the rest of the race. So I hope for my sake that the rest of the legs suck like the Japan one did and I don't miss out on much.

Oh, another reason I was screwed over - a U-Turn in a leg without transport options almost guarantees elimination of the U-Turned team. This seems to be a recurring theme in these races - whenever I save money, I can't use it to get myself ahead.
