BTW, tonight is my 20th High School Reunion. I won't be attending as I'm several states away and my husband is several countries away. Am I officially old now?

I don't remember cullottes being a big trend but pedal pushers were. I lived in England from 81 to 84 so they probably had different trends there. Also,
suspenders were really popular, paired with the pedal pushers. Oh what a sad bunch we were.

back when we had to wear skirts to school, culottes were great, but we had to get the kind that had pleats and looked like a skirt
ETA: marguerita, no you're old when next year is your 40th |

Flashback to 1985. I wore stirrup pants--they were light blue, sort of a fleecy material--and I paired them with a pink ESPRIT sweatshirt and white ESPRIT high
top sneakers. I thought I was sooo cute.
Mmmm...no. |

You know who else loves Capri's? Hairyface. That's who. If she comes in with stirrups anytime soon, I am going to blame trixie for my retinal damage.

I used to love "elephant" bells.
It COULD be worse. They could bring back overalls or the tennis shoe/keds with the long skirt look. |

I had a pair of overalls made out of that RR ticking stuff - I loved them, but Mr CBR hated them

To heck with the stirrups of 85 and 92, I wore them in 65. I was in grade school then, but I recall a pair of powder blue stirrup pants.

Men usually only like overalls if you don't wear a shirt underneath them.
I wish the satin "Leif Garrett" baseball jackets would come back. They WERE CUTE. |

I loved my maternity overalls. One of the few items of clothing that actually fit me during the last trimester.

I'm keeping my fingers crossed for the LA Gear high top sneakers, mini shirt and brain sprout look.
Stirrup pants were never a good look. They were all too short so the crotch was half way to my knees. |

They always looked best when covered in fuzzy balls and faded from being washed a lot. The ones with the line going down the whole front of the legs (piping?)
were bathed in hotness. They also look great with sneakers and tucked in shirts. I'm excited.

Fucking yuku. Don't forget the worn out and stretched out spots on the knees! That was always a good look, too. |

Wow. 3 Hi's. Ummm, like Hi and stuff. I seem to have gotten your stirrup pants all a twitter!
I'm going to wear this to work tomorrow. I'm hoping for a kick-ass camel toe, too.

I think a can of silver spray paint could give you a similar effect.
