Tim Hudson will make swiss cheese out of that line-up.

You picked the wrong time to go if you're a Jays fan. The pitching match-up tonight would've been a lot more interesting.

Mets redefine "shellacking" by crushing the Yankees 15-6 at their final game in Yankee Stadium. They have won the final 3 games at Yankee Stadium,
including today's makeup. So any way you define it, a Yankee Stadium sweep this year. Shocker #1;
Delgado sets new team record with 9 RBIs in one game, 3 extra base hits, 2 run 2B, 3 run HR and a Grand Salami. Shocker #2; OT Legend "Fat Fuck" Sidney Ponson on the hill tonight for the Yankees in 2nd half of double header, so he'll probably pitch a no hitter. Next 3 games at Shea. |

Well 3 more. Mets Yankees are usually a push each year so a Yankees sweep of Shea would be in line with that.

Ok, it's time to move Lee down in the order until he figures out how to hit fly balls and line drives again. This GIDP stuff is getting old.

Looks like the Yankees are putting on a "shellacking" of their own tonight. Don't look now, but Sidney Fatson is pitching a SHUTOUT.

Now the Brewers will have to get at least one run off the Twin's bullpen if they are going to win this game.
Delmon Young now officially owns the Brewers. Only this Brewer offense could make 6 runs look like a bad number. They were 1/5 with runners in scoring position. Fielder accounted for 0/3 out of that 1/5.

Hes got to move at least to the 6 spot until he gets his act together. At least none of the NL Cent teams will capitilize on todays Cubbie Crapfest. Cards, Crew, Bucs, DBR all lost, and the Stros are about to. Its been a pretty bad night for the NL in general. |

What opposing teams in general and NL teams in particular haven't quite figured out yet is that the Twins actually have offensive capabilities on par with
the best power lineups in the game, and no one's more surprised than us. The bats are doing exactly what they're supposed to do, you have Mauer Morneau
Cuddyer Kubel Buscher who will hit it anywhere they want if they can't hit it over the fence, and after that you have the piranhas whose sole purpose is to
create RBIs for when you get back around to Mauer. And they've won ten in a row because their streaky pitching is in an unusually long good stretch.

The Heartbreak Yid wrote: Definitely not the offense! The Brewers hit 4 home runs tonight. And it's not the defense in general either. Hardy made an amazing catch out there.
It's the pitching that's the problem and mainly the relief pitching. Been that way with the majority of the Brewers losses this season.

Antithesys wrote: There kind of like the Rays, where people think that just because they havnt heard of most of the players, they're not good. Well, they are, and they'll hurt you. Just look at Joe Nathan. No doubt one of the top closers in the game, but since hes in a small market, hes not as known as a Mariano Rivera or Jonathon Papalbon, but hes just as good. Mauer and Morneau are relatively well known, Cuddyer and Kubel, I mean who? The White Sox were looking to run away with the division, but these guys wont go away. |
