I didn't have a clue how this one would end & it was great to see it unfold. As the dude was standing in his daughter's room it slowly dawned on
me what was happening & all I could think was oh fuck!

Yeah, I liked the third episode (first two, not so much). Should've seen that ending coming from a mile away, but it didn't dawn on me until the EMT
was hesitant about letting the husband go upstairs.

I picked up on it when the killer was washing the knives in the sink as daddy-inside-bad-guy walked into the kitchen. I didn't see that ending coming
either, at least until then.
That was a awesome fight scene. Still, I guess I just don't like this genre -- too comic booky. Series like Rod Serling's stuff just seemed to have more "oomph" to them. |

I really like this show, and I wish television would support more anthology series. The ratings aren't so hot so I doubt this goes past summer though.

i love john landis. he had that annoying little girl screaming in the opening scene (as little girls will.)
and then four scenes later when sam first opened the note, the little girl runs through the scene. screaming. i love john landis oh, and... boo haters. change the channel...

"the twilight zone" was so sexy and so scary because they only had thirty minutes to present the show.
when you double that time, maybe it gives the audience too much time to figure out the twist. and the twist is the show. it's like a magic trick. or a joke. spend too much time on the set-up and you might lose your audience. anyway, next week it's elizabeth moss. so i'm still in. * and i have to go with shiza, little girl screaming was the highlight of the show... * |

I loved the 30 min anthology shows. (Twilight Zone, Tales from the Crypt, Tales from the Darkside, etc) It really is the best amount of time for all of the
reasons above.
They should break this show into 2 mini eps per hour. |

i got married in a church. twice.
i spent like 10 minutes in that church each time. we got dressed outside of the church. after the ceremony we left the church. once at the reception? never saw that church again. in the beginning, the church setup was fine (and y'all know how i loved the screaming little girl.) the religious symbols. the mystique. et. al. striking... but after the wedding the church was out-of-place and ridiculous. to me? that's where he lost me. landis bringing the church back in was wrong. and bud, you were more than "ham-handed" about the "twist". two thumbs down this week. |
