Gonna really miss Tosh. I liked her a lot and she had the best intro to Torchwood. It seemed so wasteful to kill off Owen...again! This time for good? Seems like the focus was more on Tosh, with her video goodbye, I wouldn't be surprised to see Owen return again. Will there be a season three? Anyone know? If Martha will not be joining The Doctor on a full time basis, which I really wish cause she's my favorite between her, Rose, and Donna, then I'd like to see Martha on Torchwood full time. But as long as I have Captain Jack I'm a happy man.

He finally got the stick removed from his ass and was a decent person just before he died. But DAMMIT....why Tosh!? I was really starting to like her...she was developing a personality and everything!

I wanted to see them go on their date and have Owen and Toshiko become a couple. Hopefully they'll return somehow in flashbacks or something. I wish they still had the Resurrection Glove... I felt so sorry for Jack that Grey didn't forgive him and feels this strong hatred for him. Granted I can see why, but I guess I'm the kind of person who wants everything to be all hunky-dory and happily-ever-after. I cannot wait for Series 3! Who's gonna come and fill in Owen and Toshiko's shoes? Martha? Captian John Hart? Rhys? (Ew.) I must know this!

Posts: 27571 (04/21/08 1:13 PM) Registered user Reply Quote More Recent Posts Message Connection Block Invite	I thought Naoko Mori gave a great performance in her final episode and it SUCKS that it had to be Toshiko, and not Gwen, who took that bullet. It was odd that she was given such an honorable tribute while Owen was killed off with a fadeout. I do think this means that he may be returning, especially as, well, isn't he already dead? Having seen the episode, it reminded me a bit of stuff that they've done on MI:5/Spooks, a show that is certainly not afraid to kill off any character, no matter how big. This now leaves Jack and my two least favorite characters -- whiny Gwen and boring submissive Ianto. What exactly does Jack think he's doing freezing his brother? Posts: 10 (05/19/08 10:22 AM) Reply Quote More Recent Posts Message Connection Block Invite	I have to agree with oncebittentwice that Gwen was our eyes into Torchwood and using her police experience, she brought a more human response to the chaos that is Torchwood. However, I also have to agree with shrewlaura that she appear somewhat incompetant when she should be using her police experience and sometimes she comes off as a know-it-all newbe who have to be shown the real reasons why certain things are done by Jack and other Torchwood members. Basically acting human; bleeding heart and all. As for Tosh and Owen, I really miss them more than I would have Gwen. I miss Owen for his near comedic womanizing and Tosh for her geeky pining love for Owen. But I also like Gwen because she did what no other Scifi character has successfully done. She has a developing love life that actually progressed to marriage and that her love interest was not killed off and has actually been a non TWood member to help. I especially LOVED the wedding sequence I can see where Gwen can be annoying but then she isn't a Jack Harkness, is she?

And if so...how can we literally have this show without Jack? He's the everything, not Gwen. And if they really do think the audience will stick around to watch the gap between Gwen's teeth get bigger by the episode, I think they're mistaken. ALSO, the news about it's time slot move leading to a more conservative show? What the FUCK? There went the gay fan base when Ianto's illicit gay love affair is ignored and replaced by another robotic girlfriend. Ianto: My girlfriend, who lives in Canada, and I can't wait to eat her robotic pu*** again. (As sung by the gay muppet from Avenue Q :P)

Made me want to get a banana milkshake and go run through a field and smile. I have to say this series took awhile to get into but now that I know the characters a bit better the episodes are getting better and better (same with Doctor Who 2005 season...didn't like Billie Piper at first but after watching Father's Day that changed). Can't wait to continue on and get more into this and Doctor Who. I loved the Tosh episode though I hope to see some more of her.
