I hate to admit it, this show is actually entertaining now that Jeff's having to scramble to meet payroll, and he's losing money on his California real estate- now THAT'S reality!

And yes on the delicious awkwardness of the picture being called ugly while the artist was standing right there. hahaha. This show does make me miss El Pollo Loco...why can't these exist in Florida

Obviously, the woman still thinks the budget is $200,000. I realize that in remodeling most people expect overages, but Jeff is going crazy tearing down walls and dreaming up tinted cement schemes for the front side walk. Trouble ahead. Yeah! And a million dollar house doesn't even buy you much in CA anymore, sadly. Our little 3 bedroom, 2 bathroom house in a quiet suburb near Glendale goes for about 800,000 now. Gone, are the days when a million dollars could buy you a mini-manse.
