I loved him on The View! He did Stand By Me and it was better than the AI version by far. Except he stuck in that "beautiful girls" line that got
his daddy in trouble on AI. It doesn't fit and sounds forced - but the voice, the voice was wonderful.
Speaking of, my favorite Archie song is You're The Voice. Is that even on the poll? |

He was very cute on The View even with Joy Behar giving him a hard time. I think people can see he's really a terrific person even if they're not a fan
of his vocals.

So I'm pretty hardcore cook, and i like archie as a person but not so much as an musician, but i must admit, his rendition of "Heaven" was
AMAZING. That one gets my vote as his BEST.

SP, I thought you were a teenager or early 20's? Please don't take offense. I guess I think all true Archie fans are super young or very old, and you
don't come across as very old. (And if there are people who post who are 70+ please don't take offense, but I can't imagine any of you are.)
Basically came in here to say hi to my Archie loving buds! Think about this: You're almost eighteen, you're on a tour bus for a few months with these cool, fun guys, and your DAD has to be on the bus, too. THAT has gotta suck. For Archie AND the other guys. Raise the tryout age to 18, AI! |

If the age requirement were raised to 18, then we wouldn't have gotten to experience the magic of David Archuleta for another 2 seasons pretty much, right? 
But I don't think 17 is super young... I'm 17, and male, and I'm such a big fan of Archie, which is kinda weird, but I adore him. |

At the Idols Live tour, Archie will be singing Angels <3 (My favourite Archie performance)

But, if the age were 18 and he had to wait until this summer or next to tryout...he might have won, right? He could have won season 6 and probably even
season 5, it's just that Cook was too much competition and his fans got shockingly invested in making sure he won. Plus he wouldn't have had the
added stress of having his Dad's antics distracting him. Oh well, water over the damn at this point.

I'm not sure Archie would have won S6 and def not S5. I'm a fan but his "pageant" vibe put a lot of people off. Archie is a sweetie but
an odd kid and being the winner would have been too much pressure. Cook is the commercial winner the Idol people need for the franchise.

I agree with your last sentence, open, but don't you think Archie would have beaten Jordin? I do. And I think Taylor won because people also voted
against Katharine. Not sure at all Taylor would have beaten Archie.

In S6, i don't know if archie would have beaten jordin (and i'm not a fan of hers) as archie's fan base would have been split between him and
blake. As for S5, it's hard to say if archie would win that one either... if we're talking about who SHOULD have won, elliott yamin and chris
daughtry were robbed. can archie win vs. them? however, if it was just down to archie vs. taylor, now THAT'S a no brainer - archie hands down.

People win Idol for many different reasons including sex appeal, performing styles, etc. I think Taylor would have beat Archie S5 and I'm not 100% sure
about Jordin v. Archie in S6. The best vocalist doesn't always win this thing you know.
Archie got a lot of hate his season and I think he would
have had the same problem other seasons. Second place is perfect for him. If he'd beaten Cook, the hate would have been intense.
