I use Stopzilla, it cost $20 but is worth it. Or you can just download the torrent if you want.

Search Task Menu
go here, open up your task manager, switch to the processes tab and check out all your processes to see if they're legit using the search function at this website you don't have to download anything oh, you can aslo sort your processes by CPU used and see what's ramping up your computer |

I had some adware on my PC that spybot, adaware, and norton couldn't remove one time. I basically had to figure out what it was using the site I linked,
start my computer in safe mode, stop the process and then clean it off. None of the conventional programs could remove it 'cause it was always running.

I use Sunbeltsoftware's
Counterspy, which was rated number 1 by cnet and has a 15 day fully functional trial period. Which means it will remove any spyware it finds during the
trial period with out you having to pay a cent.
Give it a try, run the full scan and set it to ignore low risk programs and cookies. |
