If it's a legitimate leak, I'll definitely download it tomorrow when I get home. Don't think I even have enough bandwidth in this stupid hotel to
do it, lol.

It's legit. I haven't had a chance to watch the whole thing yet, though.

So, I've watched... it's a good pilot... good story and amazing effects... but not an amazing story. I would definitely watch again but would consider
waiting and watching a whole season at a time (it's gonna be one of those type of shows).
But get ready for a boatload of people saying it's an X-Files clone... because that's essentially what it reminded me of. |

Completely X-Files-ish. Instead of government conspiracies, it's corporate and technological conspiracies. The temp track sounds like they borrowed from
X-files and Lost unsurprisingly.

Expect the music to change for the final version. This is an early screener, so the opening credits, music, etc. are likely unfinished.

Just watched the pilot. I'm ready to give it a chance. Looks good so far if a wee bit predictable, but pilots usually are to set up the rest of the show.
Even what's his name wasn't irritating. Why does he remind me of George Clooney though?

It was defo just like The X-Files <3 but Pacey, err, Joshua Jackson, feels out of place to me. I'll keep watching tho.

Atrocious dialogue, dull staging, cliches heaped upon the obvious, and no attempt to distance itself much from The X-Files. Just another reason why network
television dramas have almost always sucked ass. Stick with cable, kids.

Cable has dramas?
I HATE George Clooney therefor I hate the George Clooney wannabe even more. |

Absolutely, 100% not as good as I thought it would be. However, I am interested enough in the science behind what they are doing that I will probably keep
watching to see how the shows play out.

I'll take Fringe and it's "quirky sci-fi" predictability over 90% of the crap the networks will be shoveling up our collective poop shoots
this coming season any day.
Behold the brilliance that is the new shows this fall season. New NBC shows: My Own Worst Enemy - A spy who explores the duality of a man who is literally pitted against himself. The Philanthropist - About a rebel billionaire who uses his money, connections and power to help people in need. Merlin - Yes, it's based on the Arthurian legend. Knight Rider - Need I say more? New CBS shows: The Mentalist - About a man with innate ESP-like powers of deduction. Harper's Island - Is a murder mystery involving a group of friends who meet on an island near Seattle for a wedding. The Ex List - Bella Bloom , an attractive business owner is surprised to learn from a psychic that she's already dated her future husband AND there's a catch: if she doesn't find him in the next year, she'll remain alone forever. New ABC shows: Life on Mars - This is based on a BBC series that revolves around a modern-day detective who finds himself transported back to 1973 after a car crash and is still a detective. New Fox Shows: Fringe Dollhouse - A futuristic laboratory assigns different tasks to its various residents, who then have their memories erased upon the completion of their assignments.* Secret Millionaire - Each week, one of the wealthiest Americans, worth millions of dollars, will go undercover into one of the most impoverished and dangerous towns in America. Their job is to spend one week canvassing the town - meeting as many people as possible - some of whom will touch the millionaire with their dedication to helping others while others will have incredible stories of trying to overcome tremendous odds. On the final day, the Secret Millionaire meets with the chosen recipients and reveals his/her true identity and intentions - to give them a sum of money that is going to change their lives forever. *OK. Dollhouse looks really good to me, but that is because it is by Joss Whedon and the lovely ass kicking Eliza Dushku stars. eta: Holy shit. I was happily copying and pasting and didn't realize what a fucking little novel ended up here. Sorry.

Meh. I got bored and gave up about 20 minutes in. And I didn't even see Pacey! Is it worth trying again to finish it??

It's worth it if you liked The X-Files. If not, probably not.
I think this is going to be a weak year for new shows. The only ones I'm really interested in are 90210 and Dollhouse. I might watch The Mentalist too. Other than that, nothing really stands out. But that's okay. My viewing schedule is already full with returning shows. I don't have room for more than 1 or 2 new shows anyway. |

Gee. You all are harsh. I thought it was a fairly decent 85 minutes of time-passing.
And it sucks just enough that it could be a hit. |

Just been surfing through promo pictures of new seasons and found those for Fringe. They are quite evocative...

I'm excited this is really my only new show since nothing else really stood out and I'm not sure about Crusoe. Never got around to downloading the
pilot so I am looking forward to Tuesday.
