There are times that I think they tell Mary to overdo it on the praise to go along with Mia's cuntiness (though Mary used to be quite the twunt herself in season 1). I usually love Mandy Moore, but the routine she did for Thayne and Chelsea was not good. It almost seemed like it wanted to be pop/hip-hop, and yeah the costumes sucked (though Chelsie proved last week that you can overcome a bad costume). It was all DOA. I did love her routine for Gev and Courtney. I hate the constant praising of Will, not because he isn't amazing, but the viewers are going to eventually resent him for it. For me, Joshua and Katee are the couple to beat. The "krump" routine needed more krumping. It looked more like hip-hop and it seemed Comfort might've been holding back just a bit to keep the whole thing more even. I hate when the judges talk about how someone should have "shined" in their particular genre when these dances are clearly a group thing. If one person "shines", he/she just makes their partner look all the worse. That said, no amount of "shining" from Skankilera could've saved her routine with Gay Danny.

Second, that's what Mandy's routine could've looked like. I feel like Thayne/Chelsea should've pushed harder...and perhaps Mandy could've made the dance edgier. And that would've put it on par with what Heliox posted. I just feel it needed more style and more intensity. As for the strongest couples tonight...I feel that Katee/Joshua were incredible, as were Courtney/Gev and Kourtnieyiiy/Matt. I still don't understand all the Will love...and it's clear the judges want him go far, but eventually get Jessica cut before then. I think that Chelsea T and Thayne, if in the Bottom 3, will both be safe...unless they're somehow in the Bottom Three with Twitchington and Katee/Joshua. There's a ton of cannon fodder that can go before them.

I am just hoping to see them in the bottom again even though they may just tell him not to do a solo since he is so "brilliant". Who was ruder tonight? Nigel for interrupting or Mia for just being her bitchy self?

I think he overdanced that hip-hop. I remember other dancers bringing it down a notch to match the partners, he didn't seem to really care whether Jessica was there or not, and I thought she gave a very good effort. I enjoyed her far more in the hip hop than I did in the tango. Far far far too much pimpage for this guy, I hope he crashes. The judges can put him into the top 10, but after that it is up to votes only.

Posts: 885 (06/18/08 11:57 PM) Registered User Reply Quote More Recent Posts Message Connection Block Invite	okay comfort and chris: i think that chris was better than comfort, it seemed like he flowed more smoothly than she did. she is definatly over praised. mia is a bitch. plain and simple. kherington did not deserve to get put down for smiling. mias point was not valid because she was trying to tell kherington how the choregrapher was trying to come across or what emotion to bring, when it wasnt even her choreography. the choreographers even agreed with nigel when he said that it was an inspiration and the message was trying to convey happiness not a harshness. katee and josh are not as good as the judges say they are. i actually thought their dance was kinda stupid, it was actually boring and i didnt like it nearly as much as kherington and twitch or chelsie and mark. susie got put down for no reason, they didnt actually give her a reason for what she did wrong, they said marquis was overdoing it which i agree with copletely, i think it looked like she was under doing it because he was going to crazy like. and judges were really harsh on jessica. okay top 3 in order from best to worst: kherington/twitch chelsie/mark katee/josh bottom 3 from worst to best: comfort/chris chelsea/thayne jessica/will i think that susie and marquis will be bottom 3, however, i also think that matt and kourtni have a chance to be bottom 3. but for right now im going to go with jessica and chris going home tomorrow. i hope the judges know that comfort is not going to help will get more votes. he is going to need someone better like kourtni or susie, whos partners are bringing them down imho.

And by watched, I mean I played it on youtube for 20 seconds and closed the window because it was so fucking boring. I really don't like that couple for some reason. And Mia's hair! BWAHAHAHAHAHA! Carrington needs to tone down the Disney in her. I liked the routine, but I thought Twitch was struggling a bit at times, but because the couple is amongst the chosen ones, Nigel and Mary weren't willing to go there. Perhaps Mia was overcompensating with her harsh criticism, but good for her for saying it. She's got her own aesthetic and I appreciate it. My faves tonight were Joshuah and Katie and Chelsea and Mark. Those two couples have the best chemistry. Least favorite: Will and Jessica. Will bores me and Jessica is not a strong enough dancer or performer, from what I've seen so far. And I'm tired of the judges pimping Will. Are they afraid of the wrath of Debbie Allen? I think Marques and Jessica will get the boots tomorrow night, unless they deliver amazing solos.

She's taking a risk going on national television all witched out. Joe Shmoe tunes in and doesn't know her from a bar of soap...I would think that her attitude would be a major turn off for the casual viewer. Nevertheless, I like it. Oh, and she's crazy. Mary's outfits are HID-E-OUS! So icky. Don't like her screeching one bit. The woman is all treble, no bass. And Nigel needs to shut up about the girls' attractiveness. It doesn't need to be mentioned, it's obvious some of the girls are super cute. It's not really a compliment anyway. Just focus on the dancing you dirty old man. I cried like a baby from the second Jean-Marc started talking about his daughter and all the way through the critique. It's not really fair to put something so so personal in a competition, but I was still very moved.

More pimping for Twitchington and they really don't need the special favors.

And that's coming from someone who couldn't stand Kherington 'till this week's performance. It's BAFFLING how lackluster the talent is this year. Are you serious? I find it hard to believe the judges saw these twenty as the best crop of "dancers", there just had to be some better ones that they cut. coughAsukacough For one. The previous three seasons, you barely saw any true mess-ups. This season, there's at least a couple of failed lifts and obvious screw-ups in each routine. Especially freakin' Susie/Marquis' performance. The "good" performances of this season so far don't even match up with poor ones from seasons past. As for the Will love, everyone else is just that bad, so it's understandable that they're pimping the living daylights out of him to try and get him to win as a saving grace to this craptacular season, except he isn't even that great. Any of the Top 10 from last year could outshine him.('kay, maybe not Lauren.) I still love Katee. Katee FTW! <33

On the one hand, it wasn't fair to have that much deep emotional background in this competition (giving that routine to a less exposed couple would have greatly increased their fanbase, despite the emotion and the event having nothing to do with the couple or the competition). Also, it wasn't much of a viennese waltz, and Kherington does smile too much (although I thought it worked more for this routine, I just wonder if she can do a routine and not constantly smile). On the other hand, it was very well choreographed and a well danced routine, which already makes it different from the father-daughter dance from last year. I liked the dance itself, and the backstory was touching, but I do not like the fact that it only further increases the fanbase of Twitchington, since the heart and emotion of the story is transfered to them by having them be involved, and so they will become more and more popular for something they really lucked out on (although they did dance it well, so...). And I do not like the Will pimping. I mean, final 4? Already? His solo was not that good, and neither was this routine. I hope he is in the B3 tommorrow, since I feel that Susie will only stay if she is against Jessica, who is certain to leave if she is put in the hands of the judges. And Comfort/Chris sucked, big time. Maybe I just don't like Krump, but I did not like that routine.

The top 20 dancers are very talented and they deserve better. -The salsa this week could have been SO hot. It was a great routine up until Marquis and Susie shat on it. -I agree with Nigel that Chelsie could have sleazed up her character. I'm sure he realized how creepy he was sounding, but I think that he had a good point - she was too young and cutesy, and it didn't come off as being sexy enough. -The biggest WTF costume choice for me this week was Will and Jessica. Their whole routine was just so bizarre when you think about it. They're dancing smooth hip hop wearing Fresh Prince of BelAir outfits to a dark aggressive beat. EVERYTHING was off about it. Cecily and Olisa need to go back into the closet until season 14. -Comfort and Chris. All I have to say is.......zzzzzzzzz...oh sorry I dozed off for a second - so yeah they weren't good. At all. The choreography was shit though so I can't blame them entirely. -I had planned to comment on the other routines, but they were boring and I can't remember them. Katee and Josh were good, as were Kherington and Twitch. Matt and Kourtni weren't bad either, I enjoyed watching Matt dance this week. -We better see some good solos tomorrow night. I'm losing my patience.

I was going to write up a post, but Fafu pretty much did it for me. :) Those are the 6 people that have been at the top of my list 2 weeks in a row now. Yeah, I know how unpopular it is to really like Kherington, but that girl dances so effortlessly and beautifully. I think she's fantastic.
