This is a brief summary of how I thought of each season as a host:

TAR1: Fun, but brief. I had a blast, but I didn't feel too inspired and I think the tasks just sucked. I really wanted a lot of drama this season, but with so many inactive players, it didn't happen too much.

Emmy Episode: Episode 5 (Netherlands Leg) "This butch man wants to strip search me!"
Honestly, this episode was a little overrated, but one of the best that season. The tasks were meh, but the concepts were great and I have to admit that the skits were excellent especially after teams had been racing for a couple of hours in Belarus.



TAR2: The exact opposite. I really hated this season because it was long and looking back, 7 legs in Asia was a huge mistake (Russia, Korea, Japan, Vietnam, Cambodia, Kyrgystan, and Iran). Too many people bickered and I only had fun on a couple of legs. Controversial characters may be fun for readers, but the characters, detractors and critics combined = one giant headache for the host.

Emmy Episode: Episode 4 (Koreas Leg) "He had to shove his whole arm up a cow's bottom."
This episode has adrenaline from start to finish due to the shock teams had that a leg would be run in two different countries. It was drama-filled, luck inspiring, and just a whole bag of fun. This is single-handedly the best split leg I have ever done (we shall see about this season's). A dramatic two-way footrace and U-Turn drama make this one of the best episodes of the series.

Episode 11 (Iran Leg) "The man in black is not holding a gun."
I feel that this was one of the most underrated legs of the season. The second half of the season was a little lackluster, but this leg had fun drama and interesting tasks. The radio misinterpretation is still one of my favorites of that season and every had a little fun in that department. Watching Nick and Tracey blow up in the leg is interesting as I always enjoy when a great team suffers badly (No offense). And of course, Boomie and Whatevia showed their ownage of the entire season by finishing the roadblock and detour with a lot of sass and humor.



TAR3: This season made me single-handedly want to quit hosting ever again. It was completely stressful as I timed it during a busy part of my life. I felt that the legs were not consistent and strong enough, but I did enjoy some of the teams. I still think that 13 legs is too long of a season for me (even though 11 feels short to me). I never felt that there was a leg I was really happy about doing and the race just dragged for me from Spain on.

Emmy Episode: Episode 9 (Azerbaijan Leg) "You know, this is getting old."
Something about the Middle East makes fun and exciting legs to run. I find the character development on this leg excellent and the tasks were more fun to plan than other seasons. It's clearly a standout among the lame legs that populated the entire season and since it didn't feature any U-Turn drama following 3 excruatingly irritating legs, I probably like it more than I should.



TAR4: Currently, the season has made me very happy. I enjoy most of the teams, but they are too one-dimensional like Season 1 and 2's. However, the tasks are really fun and literally have me excited for each leg (barring Chile's lame premiere). I was hoping for a lot more yield and U-Turn drama since the season is so compact, but it doesn't look to be happening as much as I wanted it to. Still, some very classic moments in the first half of the season is enough to make me like it more than previous seasons.

Emmy Episode: Episode 4 (2nd China Leg)"NO THAT'S FOR GHETTO PEOPLE!"
This episode has U-Turn drama, another close foot race to the finish line, and some amazing tasks. Granted, it doesn't get too exciting until the 3 way race to avoid elimination at the Deadly Possessions Detour, its still a hilarious ride. And Kurt and Dmitry's everlasting bickering was so politically incorrect but funny (Although, it does get much worse in Pakistan and in the first China leg).
