Parvati was not an overall negative edit any more that Natalie was an overall OTT character.
Negativity was heaped much more heavily on the remaining Faves at new Malakal, (Ozzy, Amanda, Cirie), while Parvati disappeared into new Airai. Parvati had very neutral- to- non-story during the mid-game. Earlier it was Cirie who got a negative edit before and after Yau-Man's boot. Parvati was the least visible Couples+One alliance member in the Yau-Man scenes. She was given tons of explanation time for her feelings and views in Eliza's ep-4 struggles.
If you're referring to "pee water", "they're all dead to me." and Vacation Poverty, these may have been perceived as negative by you as a viewer, but none of it had any negative story in the edit.
Parvati had negative SPV about her couple relationship and flirting, but was given many times to explain her game and her reasons for her moves. Game game game. As Eric, Tracy, Kathy and others commented, all the faves were hard-core, ruthless players. Surprisingly, Parvati got less of such references than the other end-game faves, (not counting Eliza).
Edgically, I find Parvati's near invisibility before the merge episode to be the really intriguing part of her edit. She stayed a top contender on the strength of her opening confessional, even with a nearly non-existent mid-game edit.
p.s.: Great post Green Coffee. (insert thumbs-up dude, here.)
