So I haven't posted because I've been avoiding spoilers, but I am finally caught up and I am in absolute love with this season because these people are surprisingly normal. Sure, you have a few freaks in there, but besides Kathreya and Alexandra who are mere OTT caricatures, everyone else has at least a modicum of depth to them, which may be boring for now, but it provides actual interesting dynamics in the weeks to come, which is what I think we all want to see. Except for boring fucks like Mohammad. When they've putTWO WHOLE LINES you sai (I counted) in nine days worth of episodes, that's a sign you really are boring.

Mario - He has gotten worse. Way worse, but I do like his presence in the house in a sort of very Ahmed-ish kind of way. Plus, it's interesting that he actually likes Alexandra and she likes him too, because it adds layers to the house that wouldn't be there otherwise.
Mikey- Yeah, he's blind, and no, he's not the obvious winner that everyone made him out to be. I think he will get nominations sooner rathr than later, and if it turns out to be against someone more innoffensive like Rex or Dale, I can absolutely see him going.
Dale - He is a rehash of Mikey from BB7, down to the ridiculously chauvinistic fake OTT intro video, which segues into a sort of boring first week in the house which makes people go "hmm, he's actually not that bad", which segues inevitably into a ridiculous argument with someone that will bring out every last ounce of uglyness from within him that he "put on" for his video but that is actuall really how he is.
Rex - He's sort of sexy in a "I would never talk to you but I wouldn't kick you out of bed" sort of way. No opinion either way.
Darnell - Stereotypes aside, he really is not half as bad as I thought he'd be. He's a floater for sure, and will be a middle of the road boot, but for now I don't mind him.
Dennis - He's just got an ugly, ugly soul, and when Alexandra leaves (which is soon, remember I told you), he will take her place -I get the feeling he will pit people against each other on purpose, bitch about honesty and fairness while practicing neither, and so forth. His shocking the other housemates to be funny is like a sliver of the ugly person that he really is
Mohammad - I swear, when he went to hug goodbye I saw his fat black arm and I went, since Sylvia and Alex are both skinny, who the FUCK is that? Dullest housemate ever. He'll last forever, then have a random fight with someone who's popular and get booted to extreme boos even though nobody really hates him THAT much.
Luke - I just fucking ADORE him. It's bad because he's not particularly good looking, but I want to do very very bad things to him. He's clearly in the closet which is sort of charming in a very innocent way, but he just bring the funnies in a very unintentional way. Definitely this season's Glyn.

Jennifer - Was completely UTR the first few days, but she's since come around and I actually quite like her. I intensely dislike the "type" of housemate that she is, but I find her oddly level headed and charming. Her relationship with Dale is actually quite natural so it doesn't bother me as much as the contrived Ziggy/Chanelle, Mikey/Grace, Sezer/Imogen bullcrap.
Rebecca - Meh. Will not last long. I think she thinks she's funnier than she really is. But her completely awkward goodbye hug to Stephanie was priceless.
Kathreya - I honestly still think the COOOOKIE thing is an act, and I fully stand by the fact this woman can clearly pronounce "Hilarious" and yet chooses not to, but I think as a person she's genuine. As in, it's almost like watching a cartoon with a lot of heart - you KNOW it's not real, but you feel the emotion anyway.
Lisa - I find myself wishing Mario would get evicted (but not really) because she was at her best when she couldn't be with him. Now that she's allowed to be with Mario in public, her personality has turned into a puddle of nothing and she's disappeared into thebackground. Hopefully it's not forever, she has potential.
Rachel - I think she's a slow burner. Unlike Mohammad, who will be boring forever, I think she's UTR now because everyone else is so OTT. I enjoyed her in the wire/shock task.
Alexandra - I don't get those of you who love her because she brings entertainment, because my entertainment stops when watching becomes uncomfortable. I just am really concerned I am gonna have a frustration-induced heart attack every time this woman opens her mouth to berate someone for reasons she can't even quite articulate, because all I wanna do is just stick my hand through the tv screen and strangle her with every fiber of my being. There are arguments and there are Alex arguments, and the latter are not interesting, amusing or entertaining to me. I'd much rather see an argument where I can at least hear the two people screaming at each other.
Sylvia - If the housemates were spices, she'd be a bitter rotting lemon peel. I do get the feeling, and I agree with Stephanie, that she's basically trapped in her friendship with Alex now. I think we'd be seeing a much more fun side to her if Alex wasn't there, but with Sylvia having to serve as mediator the pressure is too much and she always looks like this: -_-

I am wondering, can't all this talk about alliances (from the last daily) be construed as nominations talk? I mean, I've heard BB make broader judgement calls in the past, in order to forbid people form nominating, and I thought they were going to be especially strict this year, so what gives? One thing I love most about BBUK is the absence of strategy talk... it's the ONLY thing discussed on BBUS and gets so tedious.

Yeah that is really weird - Sezer and Imogen got punished for WAY less than what Sylvia/Dennis/Alex/Jennifer have been doing. And I've seen countless people smoking outside the ashtray, and yet the jail has yet to be used. What gives?
