What do you want to do when you retire? |

Really.

Sit in the back yard, drink vodka, and read books. All at the same time, you know.

For me it is probably. Travel. Sleep. Travel. Sleep. Travel. Sleep.

I want to complain a lot, and stand on the porch in my house dress yelling at the neighborhood kids.

I used to live in an upstairs suite and there was this downstairs old guy who just sat out in the yard all day everyday just sipping rye and reading a book
until he nodded off right in his chair in the yard.
Inspirational isn't it? |

Buy a round world flight ticket and spend time traveling across various countries. I'm only 22, retirement is a long way away, I actually plan to do round
the world trip before I'd retire, I want to do it around the time I'm 35. That's so many years ahead, who really knows but obviously traveling is
up there.

I also want to spend lots of quality time with the grandchildren, if I am blessed with them.

My first thought was sleep...I think I'll like to do something like learning to fly. Thrilling stuff would be good and if you die, well fuck it! You're
oldish after all right?

I sometimes look at traveling like it's work... I really hate being at the mercy of airports and airlines once you take off your shoes and get in that
'secure bubble'... I love being in other places, but I hate the process of getting there.

I think smoking lots of pot might fit in as well.

After tomorrow, I will never have to set my alarm again! One of my colleagues asked what I was going to do when I retired. I replied, "Whatever I want,
whenever I want." She looked confused. She leads a very structured life and times her days down to the minute.

Garden, play with my grandchildren (I don't have yet) cook nice meals for people, and treats for those grankids I don't have yet, help out local
charities, feel good and be healthy, visit old pals and have romantic getaways with my husband.

It's too far away to even worry about retirement yet.
