She was captain of the junior cheerleader's at the Wagner High School, Clark Air Base, Philippines, class of '66 (more pictures here):
After her husband passed away in 1994, she returned back to school, at 46 years of age, attending the New Mexico Institute of Mining and Technology while
adopting two children, a boy and a girl, and still finding time to appear in the Socorro Community
Theatre productions of "Much Ado About Nothing" (as Beatrice, no less) and "Harvey".
Here she is at a High School reunion in 2000, right around the time she graduated from NMT (notice the red hair, and
Sha-na-na in the background.)
She would then move from New Mexico to Montana, which is quite a feat in itself, especially in your early 50's.
