We always lower the temp of the hot tub when the nephews are coming over, usually to about 99 deg. They love it after getting out of the pool!

That's good. How long does it take to cool one down?
Our pool is usually about 95 in the summer, lol. |

We are putting on a 2 story addition on the back of the house. We have had a hot tub for a year now but wanted it inside. This is the reason for the addition.
Oh and I wanted a place for the vidoegamers to play the games. I want my tv back.

We have a long list.
Replace family room carpet with hardwood Refinish kitchen cabinets Replace ugly tile in entry hall and bathroom Kitchen backsplash Replace sliding glass door with French doors I doubt we'll get that all done this summer |

got my answer. tyfoim
Scorch-Resistance Unlike solid surfaces and laminates, Silestone is scorch-resistant. It will withstand limited exposure to heat without burning or scorching. The fire of a lit match will not mar Silestone. However, as advised by crock pot and electric skillet manufacturers, do not place these items directly on any countertop. Always use trivets when placing hot items on any natural stone or quartz surface to avoid thermal shock. |

We aren't doing anything to the regular house, but are 75% of the way through building a lake house! Wanna see?
Front of house-
Back of house that faces the lake-
Great Room-
View from Great Room into Kitchen and upstairs-
The view from the Master Bedroom and other windows from back of the house-
I can't wait to get in! |

Nope, it doesn't melt - it's heat and scorch resistant. You may be thinking of Corian. Silestone is over 90% quartz and the rest is binder, so it is
rock with a small amont of additives.
Zippity - the color I showed is Rosa Gray - it's shades of gray with some rose tinted gray in it |

alabamabcandace, I like the blue in the lake house pics there. Awesome house.
You people have such big ambitious lists. Is it really going to get done? All I'm doing is paint and stain outside the house (finishing about half the house which I didn't get done last summer) and having someone else put in a chain link fence along the back fence line. (I've already put in a lot of new gardening and shrubs, but I started that very early in spring - all done now.) |

Thanks y'all and
The whole color scheme is the sky blue/lime green/white/chocolate brown. My husband and an artist friend are headed down there tomorrow to acid stain the concrete on the first floor. I'll keep y'all updated as we progress - we hope to be done before July 4th! I can't wait to get down there and lay my lazy ass on the sundeck of the boat dock and read and drink and do nothing!!! Here are some better pics of the view - these were taken as construction began - back in the winter, so the foiliage isn't as pretty as it is now, but you get the drift.
