Minotaur? Manotaur? Wait, a Minotaur is half man, so a MANotaur would be....just as retarded as every other villain (I'm half man, half....uh, man!) name. Love it now more than ever. I was just telling someone yesterday that I wished I had to same encyclopedic recall of, say, Chaucer -- but then, the Canterbury Tales, although awesome, are not quite as fantastic as the VB.

The first episode of the new season was great: The Monarch and Dr. Girlfriend on trial! I was hoping they'd make a joke about the sillihouettes of the members of the guild but they never got around to it. No. 24 and 22 are my favorite characters. I hope they get rid of that sorcerer neighbor this season, he's annoying.

I can't wait to see the boys again next week. My friend and I are tempted to go as Hank & Dean for Halloween :) Dr. Girlfriend is tempting too.

Dr. Killinger is hilarious and it was a great plot conceit. That they all loved him (except Orpheus) was adorable. When the final twist was revealed to Dr. VI had an "Unbreakable" moment Oh and "Venchman" = hilarious.

I love how they've been slowly weaving in the pieces of all their back stories. Dr. Girlfriend being a student at the school was a nice touch. Nice to finally get the true origin of Phantom Limb's invisible limbs. The Underground Quiz competition was hilarious. I love Pete.

Another great episode, pretty much tying up most of the loose ends between college and the present. I think all that's really missing is how Jonas Sr died. There's not an episode I don't like in the series so far, an amazing feat.

Always fun seeing them drop a small reference and you know it's going to be explored more later on even if it's a couple years later. I can't remmber but did they confirm that the crazy woman who was Rusty's original bodyguard is in fact the boys' bio mom? I know she kinaps them on a regular basis. Loved the shot of the newborn boys htis week too. :)

I seem to remember that in the old college flashback where everyone was revealed to be Rusty's old schoolmate (where Brock's murderous post-football rage demolished their D&D game) that Suriyama, Rusty, White and Billy were the ones playing the game. How then could Dr. Venture be Billy's idol who turned out to be a dick? Rusty should have been also still a student in this episode. Even Underbheit was in that one, remember? Please correct me if I'm wrong, because I was thinking through the whole episode that it was so wrongfully against established continuity.

Posts: 343 (06/16/08 9:27 PM) Registered user Reply Quote More Recent Posts Message Connection Block Invite	Billy's been mindwiped -- I assume that whatever went on between Rusty and White will be explained in a later episode (whatever he went to Rusty for, and how he ended up in his underwear later on) -- White has referenced "Rusty and his mother's little helpers" before, so he seems to know quite a bit about Dr. Venture's private life. As for Hank and Dean -- so Myra is their mother? I know people said that she made it clear, but hasn't she said that before? If the whole clone thing has been discounted, I must have missed it.

With Brock having not even been around when they were born, though, it pretty much confirms that yeah, she's their mom. I don't remember Billy being involved in the college ep at all.

Her intro episode was one of the weakest, I always thought, because -- honestly, wouldn't Rusty be thrilled to have a psycho who fucked him all the time? I'll hold out hope for Brock giving a sample at some point.

I like that she was the original bodyguard and gradually went crazy. Be interesting to se how that happened. I like that Rusty isn't interested in her at all, partly because she's crazy or is it somehting else.

Pretty sure we won't get to see Professor Impossible because Stephen Colbert didn't sign on for the season. Similarly, Underbeit doesn't look to be in this season either. I'd be surprised not to see the rest of the Impossibles, though. Billy wasn't there at the same time as Rusty and White and everyone else. White was already a game show host, Brock was already in OSI, and Rusty had already lost his virginity. Seems Billy did go to the same college though as they were rubbing out Impossible's name from Phantom Limb's office, who taught Rusty and White. Billy seems to be a few years younger than the rest of the group.
