Does it really matter if Dharma, and their story on the island from 1960-1992, was never touched upon again for the next two seasons?
Im hoping you at least say yes to that...i think SOME explanation of what Dharma did on that island and their history is very necessary to tell the whole story
of Lost. I dont think we have that puzzle piece yet. Do you?
I think the donkey wheel is a HUGE puzzle piece of an explanation about the history of the island, what Dharma was trying to do, and what motivates Widmore,
and what the Others (and their different leaders) find themselves devoted to.
So in that respect, yea, i think the history of the donkey wheel and its relation to Dharma, and everyone else, kinda matters.
It certainly matter more than endless discussions about the smoke monster or how these people could survive a plane crash...
