the first season we had Helo dragged all over Caprica by Athena just so he could knock her up cause the skin jobs couldn't reproduce with each other. But now Tigh put a little bun in Six's oven? Do the final five have supersperms?

Ok, I think I get what the re-imagined series is all about. These are TV cliche hybrids of the future. Dr Cottle is a little bit Dr. Kildare, Marcus Welby,
Hawkeye Pierce and others rolled into one. Romo Lampkin is a little bit Perry Mason, Jack McCoy and other TV lawyers - reimagined. Starback is the
cowboy/soldier - reimagined. Number 6 is the blond bombshell/slut - reimagined. Gauis is the playboy/TV evangelist - reimagined. Everyone is a half human /
half TV cliche from the future.

I find it entertaining that Helo and Athena were on the Demetrius for a ridiculous amount of time, and she wasn't worried about her baby being snatched
then. Suddenly, she needs to go around shooting bitches? Please.

Anyone have any idea why SciFi didn't put up the last episode?

My favorite parts were Baltar preaching to the toaster and Deanna snaping Cavil's neck! heh.

The stronger actors in this show have always carried the weaker ones (like the model who plays Athena) along.
Lucy Lawless is a welcome return. She's great and one hell of a fox to boot. While I feel that the past few episodes have been sorta super-decompressed, I'm confident that next week we'll see a number of important events that should at least sorta make up for it. There haven't been any surprises lately, save the Tigh pregnancy thing (which I can't/don't want to wrap my head around), so I'm hoping for some kind of mind blowing cliffhanger involving either earth or the final cylon. |

I hate to be down on the show, but I'm really only watching out of habit now. I'm struggling with many things, one of which is the apparent lack of
"rules" to their universe. I think good sci-fi needs parameters of what is or is not possible. It seems like anything is possible on BSG, including
stuff that they deemed impossible at the start. It definitely feels like they really didn't have a plan at the start. The whole Human vs. Cylon thing is
kind of pointless to me now. Cylons are basically just super-strong humans. They can breed with or without humans and we now have every combination possible.
Will Tigh and Six's kid be a 13th model? The 12 Cylons can be hurt and killed the same as humans. What's really the difference? Maybe that's the
point, that Cylons have become humans, but how? I don't know ... it all seems like the story is wandering through filler until the conclusion. Stuff
happens, but when I look back, it wasn't stuff that means anything ...

I'm pretty sure that IS the point.
I've never read much of anything as far as BSG goes, so this may be old hat, but am I the only one pretty sure that Baltar and Caprica Six's imaginary friends are, in fact, God? |

Thank the gods that they took Xena out of the freezer.
This season was getting so boring. |

yay D'Anna Biers!
I love Gaius Baltar. Preaching to the toaster I'm not a huge Roslin fan, but her and Bill were really sweet at the end. Olmos delivers lines so wonderfully. Eighthena was kind of creepy. |

This is probably just me being bitchy, but if anything makes me not want to watch the show, it's that, being a bit of a pagan, there's a strong
emphasis on the one god thing versus their pantheon. Not sure I like that.

I really liked this episode, even though D'Anna sorta of psyched us out with telling Roslin that she might be a Cylon, then laughing in her face. The Hub
actually getting destroyed was shocking, because now that the Cylons are mortal, they're just like humans. Sorry, but I'm not feeling the Baltar love.
I can totally see the resemblance between the attack on Caprica (that was the name of the planet that the Cylons attacked and wiped out everyone, right?) and
the Flood, but I don't think God would have wanted Baltar to be the guy that set the Flood in motion. I'll stop right now so this doesn't get too
religious.
Did anyone see Best Week Ever when they talked about last week's fight between Adama and Tigh? Doug Benson: "I understand what 'frak' means, but what's a 'skinjob,' and how do I get one?" |

"If you're my subconscious, I have to say, you're a little full of myself."
Probably one of the greatest lines of the show. |

I'm still watching out of habit - mostly becuase I looooooved the idea of the show when I was a kid - the whole finding Earth thing has always moved my
imagination. So, I watch and watch and watch - it gets worse and more boring by the season.
The president/admiral love match? ewwwweee. Sure the two can act but what is the point of it? Sci Fi shows almost never can pull off a real romance - BSG is no exception. I don't get the Cavil character so was pretty pleased to see his neck snapped. I did like D'Anna phyching everyone out about the final cylon. Soooo damn much speculation on the internet- it was great they made a joke of it. Definitely a wink to the fans. I guess I also liked that Baltar finally admitted his sins. I found it hilarious that he thinks they make him perfect. I did watch the show beginning to end - live even. But that is because my TiVo is broken. (Yes, I'm in mourning.) |

Baltar and the toaster were great. I want to see more of what's going on in Cyclon culture right now with them and the raiders.

Well, it's all wrapping up nicely. The cylons are more like humans than every before. I think most of them will be able to acknowledge this, while the
humans will never be able to accept this (or at least they shouldn't, if the writers are willing to avoid a feel-good 'everyone is one big happy
family' ending). I'm now throwing in my vote that Lee is the 5th Cylon. It just makes so much sense as part of the narrative: Roslyn dies, and who will
be the one to take her place? a cylon, of course, to lead humanity back to Earth.
