Actually, the Tigh part was the ONLY good part. How stupid was it that they even pretended there was some kind of mystery about who would be the next
president? Who among the remaining cast members would it have even been for there to have been an iota of suspense?

I can't imagine they gave away the reveal of the Final Cylon like that. I dunno exactly what Deanna said. Maybe she's fucking with Madame Pres? Or
maybe she's talking to somebody else? The only two other regulars onboard are Helo and Baltar. Perhaps we simply saw Roslin's reaction to the
revelation that one of them is the Final Cylon.

Since half the air wing is now trapped on the missing Cylon Baseship ... maybe Starbuck is the most experienced pilot available. Would make sense that
she's now temporary CAG.

I think Sam, Tyrol, Seelix and some other regular pilots are over there too. I have to say, though, Cottle's bit with Natalie as she was dying was awesome. Hope he's the final cylon.

The politics stuff was borrrrring. It was immediately obvious that Lee would be president and then they are all like "who? who? who?" Duh, Lee's a major character that the head of the show adores - obvious - (and rather unrealistic - but what's new about that?)I know, seriously. That was so obvious, I felt embarassed for the writers, that they actually wrote that tripe. And then Romo randomly trying to kill Lee and then Lee randomly giving him a fucking DOG?! OMG who cares! This show is notorious for having exciting episodes with great cliffhangers and then totally dropping that storyline until four episodes later, but even still, this was THE worst case of it ever. The politics stuff was just too boring. I'm thinking D'Anna was talking to Anders, cause hes over there, right? Maybe Roslin is reacting to that, or something else entirely. Even the 24 preview editors wouldn't reveal that in a preview...right? Also, RIP Natalie.  She was a fierce bitch and I loved her for it.

D'Anna talking to Anders makes sense. The reaction shot from Roslyn is just that - a reaction. I don't think we get to learn the fifth cylon quite
yet - at least not in the promos. And, Ron Moore specifically excluded Roslyn. And, their whole storyline of the cylon blood saving her from cancer a few
season backs gets pretty silly.
Oh and the reason I came back here - did anyone else experience bad audio drop outs last night? There were frequent 5 - 10 second silences. I had to turn my closed captioning on to catch the words. I'm not sure if I should blame SciFi, or comcast, or the horrendous t-storm going on at the time.

I am not a Lee Adama hater like some here but did anybody find him overacting when Romo put a gun to his head.
Blah episode, it lacked the cylons(whose plots i always enjoy more). As for the 5th Cylon, i think the Roslyn shot was just edited that way and she not it. Personally i can see the shot of #3 telling somebody that they are a cylon to be the final scene next week and then we get "to be continued" |

Yeah, this episode was so boring, that I started to sleep sproadically through it! I missed the last fifteen minutes though, so Lee Adama got the presidency?
Meh. Was there anything huge that I missed while I was in dreamland? (Probably. I should know by now that the last five or ten minutes of the show is the most
action packed and most revealing.)

Yes the "Who will be Prez?" thing was obvious from the get go but I'd rather that than just 2 minutes of "Oh let's just make Lee prez" instead. The 1st fully Cylon baby reveal (to us not them) is a great one and I saw nothing out of joint of Adama going out of his way for Laura. I think we're getting 2 more eps before the break. Should be great. |

I don't understand the hatred for this ep. This show has always moved in increments of tone and mood as opposed to action, and that's just what happened with this one. This is not the original BSG after all. Anyhow, I'm confused. What was the debris field they investigated? The wreckage of the base ship that 'sploded a few weeks ago or a result of what happened after the hybrid jumped with Roslin and company onboard? And what was with the wrecked Vipers? |

P'ha, I usually worship every show, but I just couldn't get into it this week. It went on too long and felt too rushed at the same time, and the
characterization bothered me a bit, especially Adama turning the fleet over to Tigh. It was just choppy and sort of nonsensical, in terms of mood and tone.

I may have missed the beginning, did it ever refer to Gaeta and did he die or is he still in the infirmary?
I didn't understand the whole cat thing. His cat had been dead for several weeks. Then why was there a cat running around his quarters? Whose ca was that? I don't think Laura is the fifth cylon. I think it's just editing and her reaction shot was for something entirely different. Where was chief reassigned after his blow up a week or two ago? Anyone else think Sharon/Athena was holding a doll in her cell and not a real child? |
