Just got home from seeing it! Loved it! The whole theatre was full of women and a few token men. The whole place cheered when they started the movie, and
clapped when it ended! It was great just being in that energy and made the movie that more enjoyable!

It was actually the first movie I have ever been too where at the end people were clapping & cheering. It was sooooo great. Only six guys in my theatre. Thank G.od for advanced tickets. We showed up an hour & half early and all shows were sold out. Alot of pissed off people. |

Everyone keeps saying they don't want any spoilers, but there's basically nothing to spoil since the preview gives it all away. IT was ok but I
probably should have just waited for the DVD.

My husband will be the token guy in the theater today. He's taking me for our anniversary.

The Miranda character, as during the show, made this movie. Samantha looks like a "Mannequin" that melted in the hot sun. As much as Evan Handler
(that his name?) was pimpin' this movie on the talk shows, he sure didn't shine much during his whole 47 seconds of screen time. I agree with the lack
of laugh-out-loud moments, but it was decent. I had my feet propped up on the chair of some 80+ year old woman who scared me silly when she belly-laughed
during one particular Charlotte-centered scene (such an abrubt laught prolly had her doing what Charlotte did). She also made a weird noise during one of the
"sex" scenes. Odd.

ok, i'm back from the movie. it was just ok, but cute for a chick flick. the peppered filet i had for dinner was great.
youngest miss dmb told me she was "squeeming" during the movie, bc of all the "old people sex". i can see why. |

LOVED IT LOVED IT LOVED IT!!!!
So glad Samantha was true to form. Kim Cattrall is VERY hot for 52 years old....hell, she is hot period! |

I'm squarely in the demographic (female, 36) but I won't be seeing this one. Materialism is so annoying to me.

(This post includes SPOILERS. If you don't want to read them you should probably avoid this thread, right?)
I loved, loved, LOVED this fucking movie. I loved the series so it was only natural that I went in with high hopes but mostly I went in just wanting to visit with the characters again and to see what became of them. I actually like how it kinda picked up where the series ended. I have always loved Charlotte and she did not disappoint. She had some very funny moments and in her supporting role as a friend she really gave 150% to Carrie. Carrie and Big's story was very predictable given the previews that have been airing for a while, but whatever. They belong together and if it ended any other way it wouldn't have seemed right. I felt the Samantha storyline with Smith was kinda boring and it would have been funner to see her screwing tons of guys and not giving a shit. Miranda's storyline was the most real, I guess. I actually cried when the whole thing got resolved with her and Steve. I've always liked Steve. Jennifer Hudson was great to see, but I agree her whole story didn't add much. Thanks to a high roller friend (I live in Vegas) I was able to watch from a VIP viewing booth with a bunch of gay guys (12 I think), 2 straight girls, and 1 lesbian. We were separated from the general theatre, which was about 98% women, by a privacy glass and they could not see us. We had plenty of fun reacting to the one-liners (kinda like watching it at home). What was really nice was that we sat in leather recliners with free pizza, drinks, popcorn and candy. Most of us loved it but some thought it was too long. I actually loved the length of it because it felt like a really long episode, or like watching a whole season back to back. I didn't mind the slow parts so much because I had missed these women terribly. It was like catching up with old friends sorta. LOVED LOVED LOVED it! Will definitey see it again, next week sometime probably, and will definitely buy the DVD. I read in the OSTS SATC thread that the movie is projected to take in $70 million this weekend!!! That's AMAZING! |

seriously), and well, Miranda is real - and looked darn good. I thought that Smith looked like he had aged about 10 years, not 4.
