It wasn't the feminist movement which failed at getting the ERA passed; it was the human race which failed. And women are suffering because of it.

I'm glad Obama resigned his church. Everyone should resign from their church. Victory for atheism!

He only joined that church so he could find more common ground and do more good in the community.

What about his statement that he could no more turn on Rev. Wright and the black community than he could his own grandmother (whom he later threw under the
bus)? People are really going to make hay of this.

You might have been right but for the fact that Wright disavowed Obama first. And then after the controversy broke went batshit insane for all the world to
see. If this whole church thing is seriously the biggest issue dogging Obama, then he's in really good shape.

did no one at the church realize it was time to shut it's collective piehole? seriously, just have a few quiet sundays where no one would become
america's next you tube idol!

Let's face it. America doesn't like black churches.

Do we need any more proof that there really isn't a democrat party? That in reality it's just a loose coalition of special interest groups.

Perhaps the most interesting part of a story I just read re: today's FL / MI dealings:
"Florida Sen. Bill Nelson, a Clinton supporter, said the state's early primary was set by the Republican-controlled legislature and state Democrats were not to blame. "These voters violated no rule, they committed no crime, they did not move the primary forward. The Republican legislature did," Nelson said." Summary of the next 6 months: - Obama gets the Dem. nom. amidst significant Democratic party squabbling and turmoil. - 'Party unity' doesn't even come close to occurring for the Dems, and McCain wins the White House. I agree with what was effectively said a few pages back... no matter which of these 3 were to win in November, I'm not optimistic about the next four years yielding much improvement in terms of governance for this country, from both the President AND our Congress. |

It was kind of funny as I was not logged in the first time I tried to reply to this and so I got to see an ad for McCain's presidential bid attached to your post. I now wonder how many times Hillary's shit has been attached to mine. Damn Internet ads. |

Is anyone considering Nader and Gonzalez, that is looking like an attractive ticketright about now. By watching today's events unfold, no matter if you
support Obama or Clinton the United States is a laughing stock of the world - its goal is to promote democracy while it robs people of it who deserve it and
gives it to those who do not.

What the hell are you talking about?
No one was robbed of democracy. When this day started Hillary had no chance at the nomination, with Florida and Michigan not counting. As this day ends Hillary has no chance at the nomination, but delegates from Michigan and Florida will be counted at the Democratic convention at 1/2 strength just as they have in the GOP nominating contest this year. |

The Democrats were too democratic. They should have said, "Hey, we came up with a rule, and you broke it Florida and Michigan, and we all agreed to it
then, so fuck it, no soup for you". Today they proved that they indeed embody the very meaning of the word 'democratic' and also, massive pussies.
