If the polar bear's only purpose in this Lost mythology is to imply to us that Dharma was doing experiments in sustaining life in strange climates...why only show us polar bears? There are hundred of animals they could also make pop up from time to time if that was the only purpose of the polar bears.

Why would Dharma use polar bears for time travel the way they do bunnies? There are plenty other animals they could have used after bunnies, if they did at all.

And are you saying Dharma never studied or used that wheel often? Then why did Halliwax have his own personal parka in the Orchid station?

Why did the creators of Lost make the donkey wheel in a frozen climate if they werent going to connect the involvement of polar bears??

Sorry, the frozen climate...the fact that the wheel is made for animal use (polar bears being cold climate donkeys)...the fact that a polar bear is out of place in the desert, like Ben was...just shows that the wheel was pulled by polar bears at some point.

My guess is, that Dharma obviously knew that when the wheel was turned, the organic beings down in the cave were booted out into the desert on the opposite side of the world...and for some reason Dharma (and others) wanted the wheel turned often. So, they had animals turn the wheel...its better to lose bred animals in the jump than valuable human scientists who could never get back to the island and might possibly blab about it. And what better method of turning the wheel without human hands than using an animal?? And what better animal for cold climate and thats strong enough than a polar bear??

It just makes so much sense, i dont know why you deny it :P

And personally, i think Ben and the others essentially created a similar "wheel turning" device int he swan station with the button...every press essentially did the same thing that the wheel turning does..but it was mechanical.
