Yeah, yet he gets married and has kids in the city. Big was always wrong for Carrie and his turn around at the end was forced. Men like Big don't change even though the romantics in all of us hope they do. I'd have no problem with a Big and Carrie ending if she didn't lose so much of herself in the process. At the end, she had no job, no career, only Big. And that's not what the series was about.

Most women I know don't identify with her! It's Charlotte and Miranda that most women tend to identify with. And a lot of us want to be Samantha if only for a while!

And we don't know that Carrie had no job/career at series end. She was back in New York where she belonged and was probably working for Vogue like she was before. Even if she hadn't gotten back together with Big, she would have been in the same place. Or worse, in Paris with the self absorbed Russian! Also, no matter who she ended up with, once married, she pretty much couldn't have written her column anymore. Not realistically anyway.
