So, going to Philly???? |

Nah, I just wanted to plug it here. =p I doubt I'll be able to go! Maybe that weekend, but certainly not that Thursday. Are you going?

Kitty Pryde1 wrote: I'm surprised that someone as clearly biased as you were (for Cirie) would have a problem with someone being as clearly biased as craig is (for Parvati). The ludicrous "Cirie was hidden from the negativity of the black widow brigade" stance and the refusal to give her N's for the OBVIOUSLY N moments that she had all season....that stands out the most to me. Not surprising from the same person that wrote off Parvati's UTR slump as "all fluff". |

Parvati got a shitty edit this season and the editors made her look like absolute crap. Cirie WAS kept away from some of the negativity.

If the editors really wanted to make Parvati look like absolute crap, they would have left out her comments about not being able to beat James and Ozzy, the
damage control scenes with James, her admission that she played an aggressive game and would own up to it at the final tribal council.
If Amanda won the jury vote, they probably wouldn't have shown any of those scenes. It didn't make Parvati more likeable, but it made her look smarter and showed that she was aware of the game she was playing and the moves she was making. She wasn't blindsiding people just for the fun of it. |

Yeah they really didn't make Parvati look like crap at all. She got a great edit for a winner. She came off no worse than Todd to me.
I have new Edgic rule proposals: 1) Eliminate GIMG's top pick 2) Strongly consider GIMG's 2nd pick 3) In the case that Earl is competing, disregard rules 1 and 2, as Earl always wins |

Yeah, I thought Parvati got an awesome edit, especially for a female winner. For any female winner to actually be praised for being a mastermind and strategic
player is huge, so what if she had some negativity? So did fan favorites Ozzy, Cirie & James, and they didn't win. And at least Parvati's strategy
was fully shown and actually shown for us to respect and see how she has changed from the Cooks and that she's deserving of her win. Her edit was like a
mix of Todd, Chris & Jenna M. Which isn't bad at all.

Lol, running away to join Loc on the Island is a nice fantasy. Actually, life is very good, here in the wilds of New England. Had a baby moose wander through
town last week. We could use some rain, though!

I also had Parvati as my #1 winner pick all season, and I noticed people who correctly picked her tended to agree with me on her tone, while the Cirie diehards
let themselves get hate-blinded.
Only ONCE did more than 60% vote Parvati N. Both the Tone and Overseer watchdogs had her Neu for ep.9 and 10 so it's not like me being WD made a difference there. I was happy with Parv's edit, except we could have seen more of her, Eliza, and Natalie on New Airai. Yes, they could have made her more P by showing how close and loving she was with Amanda and Cirie, but that would destroy suspense about the F3. The same way her being pissed at Eliza and calling Jason a loser was featured to make viewers doubt if they'd vote for her. Jason got a really flattering edit considering how much Kathy, Chet, and James hated his guts. That allowed viewers to feel somewhat happy he got saved over Ozzy, but made Natalie look villianous the next episode.

Close Call tie-Breakers for the two-hour Finale
Natalie Bolton- CP (50%), MOR (50%) : Natalie may have been out at F-4, but she still got her CP licks in. Natalie, "I've been afraid to ask for things, before, in my life..." This was the theme of the Finale. That the women found their inner warrior-bitch and kicked macho ass. Natalie Bolton CP. Definitely. Amanda Kimmel - Neutral (41.7%), P (41.7%) ; Cirie Fields- Neutral (50%), P (50%) The stats say it all. An even split on tone. This episode's edit was all about explaining how these four women played a good strategic game. How they all outwitted, outlasted, and outplayed the rest, especially the men. Eric, "These women are vicious, they are cut-throat. I think I learned a lot about how women work." Parvati, "I haven't missed the guys here for one second...We beat them out with our brains!" Cirie opened the episode by telling us that she didn't shed one tear for the men who were gone. Amanda came close to a P with her weepy, but seemingly sincere breakdowns. "Straight from China, I come here and I just couldn't take it..." She congratulates herself that, "This time I played so much better..." Parvati tells Cirie after Amanda wins the final IC, "She's definitely a closer." She is shown having all sorts of conflict and worry about having to choose her F-2 partner. But, she also gets chewed out by Eliza, Alexis, Cirie, Natalie, and Eric for being phony and superficial. This was balanced with her breakdown scenes to rate an M. Cirie gets sympathetic scenes that explain her "bottom of the totem pole" situation, but she also gets dissed by Natalie and Parvati for her efforts. She went out with an edit that was meant to give her loss a lot of sympathy. But, the other, negative scenes and SPV combine to give her an M. Amanda Kimmel CPM Cirie Fields CPM

There are still tiebreakers for ep.13.
Cirie would be CP neu (not mixed) based on the vote. |
