Now I'm seeing it's N? Are we talking about the same episode? I can't comment on the ratings you post, at all, so FLF, PLEASE...

I think I recall you saying that you were going to stick by your 4 back after week 13 tally came out...

It's true, I did not vote officially for Ep 14 (this is the 2-hour finale, yes?) but for some reason, I though the close call was between Mixed and P and I rewatched and called P. Really, I thought it was fairly Neut, but since the TWD has an N, let's throw it to FLF since I have goofed somewhere. That's what you get for giving me Boringmanda for a watchdoggee!! ;)

I hate it when people compare Parvati's (for example) to others' Ns and only the Ns that were more N than Parvati. Ok, maybe not as many people voted N for Parvati but she's still N, her tone average might not be as N as some others, but she still N. What is so wrong with giving Parvati Ns?

Some are certified by the admins and get a special subnic. Some are certified by other Survivors who already post here. Sometimes they post personal pics that all a Survivor could have, There was a fake Cirie, Eliza said she didn't think it was Cirie, and the admins locked "her" thread within a few hours. No many people were fooled. Kathy posted a bunch of finale pics that appeared nowhere else, and had stories from within the game that Eliza verified (she asked Jonathan if the Jews were hated because they killed Christ). Amanda posted briefly, and PG said they were together and she was legit.

Kitty, didn't you give Parv about 6 Ns, no Ps, and not pick her to win until well after the merge? Remember how Parv wasn't winning because of the pee water comment ep.1? Many of the other straws people grasped at to paint her N were little better. Parvati had a fairly even mix of P and N editing, but in no episode was her tone clear and strong enough to reach solid consensus. Several raters gave her chintzy Ns 4-6 times (will dismissing her mild Ps), while another equal or slightly larger group gave her 0-1 N and 1-2 Ps. There may be a few in the middle, but since Parv's tone was similarly weak or ambiguous in many epsodes, the same splits tended to reoccur.

How about we (a) dump the tone ratings or (b) select a committee of maybe five veteran objective edgicians to decide on the tone ratings for each episode, after some "spirited" discussion in this thread by ALL participants. This will prevent "fandom" and "hatedom" from continuing to overshadow tone ratings. I would suggest OTH, TLS, flf, Warrior, etc. 2. Discuss dropping the player watchdog system, due to lack of interest and consistency and fortitude. This season we had several good player watchdogs giving their reports consistently for most, if not all, episodes. But there were SEVERAL watchdogs that, for one reason or another, couldn't/wouldn't fullfil their watchdog report duties. Some of them also couldn't be bothered to vote. I feel that the player watchdogs have ceased to become relevant, with the lack of close calls, etc. But we should still keep the Ratings Watchdog, the Visibility Watchdog and the Overseer position for these close calls. 3. Do we really need the strategy ratings ?

You never gave her a SINGLE N despite all the times that she WAS N and gave her Ps whenever she was neutral. There's a reason why Parvati got little applause at the finale. The viewers didn't like her because the editors made her look like crap.

No, its because Parvati betrayed Ozzy and James, and the editors couldn't undo the Ruperization of those guys in their original seasons. You really think James winning America's choice and Ozzmanda being 2nd\3rd in voting had much to do with their Micronesia edits? Also a certain percentage of viewers can't get over her being a flirt no matter how that is edited. Just like others will always see a quitter like Kathy as N regardless of her edit. The editors would be crazy to edit a winner like Parv as N, when there was so much pre-season prejudice against her, and when her story involves taking down America's heroes to win. Blindsiding Ozzy and James ensured that viewers would never warm up to Parvati. The editors can only work with the story they have. They gave Ozzy a more arrogant edit and made James look clueless, but it was a futile endeavor. So instead of trying to get viewers to like Parvati, they at least showed us her game and explained why she won.

I was surprised, but when I rewatched, I got some instances of P but no real instances of N to make it M overall. And believe me, I was hoping for them. (<--no fan of Amanda)
