There are Klidiots who still won't admit that Kelly's album flopped last year. They live in their own little fantasy world where Kelly is skinny, attractive, looks hot in a bikini and doesn't yell when she sings.Kelly's album didn't flop . . . RCA didn't want it to be heard. Just like they're doing with Clay's wonderful new cd. RCA sucks ass. Their loss. Kelly looks wonderful in that adorable black dress. I love that my 2 favorite Kelly/Kellie's are sitting next to each other. I don't see Carrie . . . shocker! |

I played My December in the car recently and thought there were at least two singles on there. Especially "Maybe." The album did not have singles
released, except for the first one, and I guess it didn't get good enough reviews? Here's the thing I don't get - there were several singles
released from her last 2 albums. She won Grammys. She was constantly on the radio. Why the hate toward My December? Sure it's not all catchy pop tunes, but
there are some catchy tunes on there. So why are they being ignored?

I understand why people didn't like the record, but it doesn't change my stance. I regularly listen to "Sober," "Maybe,"
"Irvine," "Chivas," and "How I Feel."
How do we know she started recording on 5/23? Is there a source that I missed? Also, she looks really good in that black dress. |

Matt, Kelly posted a journal entry on her fanclub that said she was in the studio with Ryan Tedder and they just finished a song together and that it was
awesome. She ended the post with "recording on my 4th album has officially begun"... that was 5/23/08. The source is Kelly herself
Matinee I think the negative response is really mostly from haters who like to use My December as a battering ram against the Kelly fans. The album was widely praised by critics and in fact wasn't a far departure from Breakaway except in terms of over-the-top production and layering of vocals in the tracks. The songs on My December were much more consistent with what you hear when you go to a Kelly concert vocally speaking. The media jumped on the rift created by Clive Davis' remarks at a music conference and then his slight of Kelly at the idol finale. Kelly in turn gave some interviews were she was quite candid in her feelings about Clive and it all kind of spun out of control. IMO RCA really fucked up the entire era because Never Again was sitting right outside the top 20 when they pulled support and it tumbled down the charts. That single has sold almost a million downloads which speaks to it's popularity more than it's position on any radio playlist. They then went and released Sober to radio during the summer and with no promotion or backing of the single at all. Basically My December was dead the same day it hit shelves as far as RCA was concerned. They did nothing to promote or push that CD and in fact some could argue they did everything they could to damage it. There were/are at least four really good catchy songs on that CD which would've been at least moderate if not smash hits. Hole/How I Feel/Don't Waste Your Time/Be Still and of course Never Again. Maybe is a gem but I don't know that it would've played well on radio. Hopefully with a new CEO at RCA Kelly's 4th album will be properly promoted and Kelly will be treated as the grammy winning artist she is and as the artist who earned that label 100million in revenue and therefore deserves their praise and respect. |

CR is still on the charts that count, thank you very much. Can't say the same for cap albums like MD.

Notice how Yelly has to stand sideways in the above pic? Oldest trick in the book. Even though, Yelly's arms are thick as Reba's thighs!

I don't know. Kelly's arms have always been thick. Even when she was on AI and when she was at her thinnest in 2005. She'll never have a perfect
body and that's okay. She feels comfortable enough in her own skin and I find that pretty refreshing, actually.
Thanks for the info, ILovegreeneyes. I'm glad Kelly is happy with what she's got so far. Hopefully, the CD is definitely ready for a fourth quarter release. |

Matt310 wrote: Exactly right Matt! Kelly isn't perfect...she never has been and she never will be...the difference between Kelly and most women in the industry is
that she's okay with how she looks, even if it doesn't fit into the ideal of what the media has brainwashed society into believing is acceptable and
beautiful. It's a real shame that you guys can't find something new to say to take digs at Kelly and that it could be based on reality.
You are kind of like Shallow Hal when you're looking at Kelly. actually I'm just realistic. Kelly isn't anywhere close to being fat and the insistence, by the fans of an artist who has clearly dieted herself down to next to nothing, that she's this big whale is pretty hysterical. I suspect the real problem is that Kelly's comfort with herself makes others look insecure and shallow. More women need to be like Kelly...happy with how she looks and not interested in turning herself into a replicant of some barbie doll just to have the right "image" |

It's amazing how much these morons try to guess inch for inch how fat she is, or if she weighs 130 or 131. Shyster, how about you post your fugly mug and I
will judge for myself just how thin you are.
