Thanks for all the pics posted a few pages back. LOVED the shot with his belly showing. And seriously,,,I've never seen a guy look hotter with the guyliner. YUM. If I was ten years younger, hotter, and not married w/kids, I'd become his new stalker. RAWR! You know now, for me at least, every future season of Idol is going to PALE in comparison. Cause even if I hadn't liked Cook so much, the ending was STILL perfect. sigh Now I'm off to SYTYCD!

Some highlights... What about the judges' consensus that the night - and competition - belonged to Archuleta? Had you also resigned yourself to the notion that you'd be the runner up? It never really felt like a competition to me. Tuesday was all about having fun, just enjoying the moment and being able to share the stage with someone I respect and admire. Nothing more. But basing it off of the judges' comments from Tuesday, yeah, I went into tonight thinking Archie was gonna win. It's crazy how things turn out. Did you want to win? Absolutely. I think to be in this competition and not want to win is just a slap in the face to everybody that auditioned. Did I fall into it? Yes, but I never went into this thinking, I wanna take fifth or 10th place. I think that's very disrespectful. Did you vote last night? I did not, but I voted three times this season and each one was for Archuleta. () You've copped to a theater-geek background. Did that make the boxing stunt and all those Ford commercials any easier to execute? It didn't hurt! I've never been one to take myself too seriously. The boxing thing, I gotta admit, going into this week, I thought, It's gonna be goofy. But it was actually a lot of fun and it seemed to go over pretty well, judging from the response we got. Back to music, give us your top five favorite bands. Our Lady Peace, Big Wreck, 8Stops7, Jimmy Eat World, and Foo Fighters. One of the things that viewers have noticed about you is your confidence and maturity. Maturity? You guys don't see me when the cameras are off. I'm a goof and a nerd. The confidence comes in knowing what I can do what I can't, what works for me and what doesn't. I never tried to fake it. It's been a process, but my family and my friends have kept me really grounded, and that's probably where it comes from. So, Mr. Bartender, what will you be drinking later to celebrate? Iced coffee. I'm probably going to take it easy tonight: We've got a long day tomorrow that starts at 4:30 in the morning. Really, could tonight have been any better? Tonight was a trip. I got to play with ZZ Top and introduce Bryan Adams and George Michael. And to have it all topped off by me winning American Idol?! It's pretty absurd. This is the first fav I've had win since Kelly Clarkson, so it's been awhile (and I feel like this is a bit of justice for my Bo that a rocker finally won). Woot!

This was the best final announcement and finish ever. Cook ruled the whole finale, he was having a blast and it showed. My Mom, who turned Archtard, called to congratulate me! (Was I that obviously invested in this guy? ) I wish my husband was traveling today so that I could watch utube moments I want to see again all day. But I need to stay the eff away from the computer and get back to real life because it's time. I can't believe we traditionally non-voters pulled this off. Way to go, way to go!!! It's been so much fun in this forum this year--I have all all of you excellent Tards & Haters--Cook's, Archie's, Castro's, Syesha's, Johns', Smithson's, White's, etc., it doesn't matter--to thank for making it a blast. <3 Sucks AI posters.

Last night redeemed the show as the overall best performer won. (Several of us at the office had been knawing out fingernails off for the past couple of weeks as the judges were being pretty hard on Cook.) One of our local broadcasters has been working the interview line in LA both last night & this morning. She is such a HUGE Cookie fan - she's absolutely giddy. She just had DC on camera and on no sleep, Cookie's looking pretty OK this morning. (Said he's going on adrenaline & coffee. Dude's gonna sleep for 3 days once the media crush is done.)

But WOW does he have such an appealing, deep, sexy, edgy-but-not-too-cynical-or-freaky voice. And he has been getting even more attractive each week. This is where I wonder what magic the stylists have done or whether it's just confidence or whether he entered into some Faustian deal. He will do sooooooo much better in the press junket than Archie would have. Yay, yay, yay. My favorite won. Be still my heart. No, splash around wildly in my chest, my heart! ; ) GOMH! This entire post sums up my feelings exactly. (exept for AI 1&2, which I didn't watch). And I agree with the other poster who said they wanted to see Michael Johns in the finale. Cookie and him were my favs.

It was actual my first iTunes download ever. I'm just about to listen, I think the song is a piece of shit but I bet Cook makes it good. I wish they also released Dream Big as a b-side.

I heard the studio of Hungry Like the Wolf on my morning news show and loved it. Which says a lot because I've always hated that song. This is the first time I've ever bought anything Idol-related. As Ryan said they were taken off iTunes at midnight. Finale stuff is up, but that's all. You can still get them for free though. It's a complete SHIT song...but he sings it well enough that it is catchy. Gotta remember to get Hubby to download the rest of his stuff from the last performances.
