This was one of the better episodes this season, partly for the above reason, but also because Gastro Pub seemed to be so successful. I always wanted a restaurant to do really well and I think it finally happened. Not to mention that I would have been stunned if those three screwed it up. Plus Stephanie was so cute in her little dress. It was just adorable.

Everyone is complaining that Lisa is in the final five but apparently have no problem with Spike being there? I still can't believe they didn't have a double elimination of Manuel/Spike when their "Good Morning Vietnam" dish was rated the worst by everyone. So I forgot to tell everyone that my sister and her husband met with Stephanie over the weekend. They did not want to pry too much so I really don't have much information to tell. She said Andrew is the same in real life with what we saw on television. She is also friends with Dale from last season, who told her to not say anything bad about the other chefs in the confessionals. I think the only bad thing she has said was making fun of Casey's onion chopping skills.

It was just adorable. the dress? it got an immediate "meh" from me. "not so awful for a fat chick," i thought. at least she wasn't sweating too much... but those boot? with that dress? that drove me to a complete "MOO!!!" in an attempt to communicate with huh and understand THAT decision...

I didn't like Dale but at least if he had stayed we would have had a more interesting finish...no way in hell she can win. Plus I can almost smell her through the screen. ew Spike is the dark horse, if the last cooking challenge is some sort of soup extravaganza he will PWN THEM ALL. I agree though that an Antonia win is on the horizion. Stephanie's edit is very similar, but Antonia's just has more of that, you know winner's vibe. Assuming Lisa goes next, best final four / season ever ? On another note I did not miss Tom Colijichiciaho this week or even really notice his absence.

Quiet competence, shared by Richard & Antonia. Glad they chose Nikki to roll out the pasta. They didn't want to deal with the Andrewmaniac. FUCK THAT FUCKING BITCH BITCH BITCH ~~FIG~~ FUG FACE. Dale was the "shocking boot" for me. I expected him to outlast both Lisa and Spike, and maybe Antonia, given all her bitching about him being a one trick Asian pony... He wins 5 of 20 challenges (including last week's DIABETES challenge) and then LOSES to the BITCH that made raw shrimp last week?????? Lisa almost lit the kitchen on fire when she burned the togo box in the quickfire. I bet that smell of melting styrofoam went over REALLY well at the breakfast diner. WTF was that mess of "sticky rice?" That "soup" crap she made looked VILE. I HATE that the person who steps up to the plate to be the leader (see Trey) and does a decent job (with the exception of the DISGUSTING LOOKING/WTF?????? BUTTERSCOTCH SCALLOPS) is automatically aufed, yet useless SLAGS like Lisa (who has had some of the most DISGUSTING LOOKING food in the past 4 weeks) are allowed to slide. Hate her. If they do this year the same as last year, then Lisa HAS to go next, Spike should go in the "Brian" slot, and Richard/Stephanie/Antonia would be a fascinating final dinner. If those are the last 3 standing, I think Antonia is actually the weakest chef, but also most likely to play it safe. I could see Richard and Stephanie making a mistake that allows Antonia to squeak in. BTW, one thing in the back of mind is this: last season, Hung was the one chef who treated it like a game and was strategic in his choices of when to take risks, when to play safe, etc. And he won. This season, the most strategic player is Spike. Foreshadowing?

Although they can both be considered to be playing the game strategically, HUNG has the culinary balls to back it up. He made some safe choices, but EVERYBODY was impressed with not only his knife skills (remember the chicken breakdown?) but with his precision and flavor profiles. Can you imagine SPIKE winning the Cordon Bleau challenge or the one where they went to the fancy schmancy resteraunt and mimicked the famous dish? HUNG is an awesome chef and was classically trained. I wouldn't throw Spike out of my bed.

Gail will get the smallest piece of meat and bitch about them not being the same size. Lisa -Padma will find something in her food. . . .a dead rat. Tom will not find Lisa's attitude acceptable for Top Chef evidentally she doesn't know its Top Chef. Gail will complain that she didn't get enough rice with her food. Stephanie - Padma will find something in her food. . . .a wrapper. Tom will not find Stephanie's final dinner acceptable for Top Chef. . .since this is Top Chef just in case they didn't know its Top Chef. Gail will complain her duck didn't have enough sauce and will bitch. Antonia - Padma won't find anything in her food. Tom will realize this is called Top Chef and let Antonia know the show is called Top Chef as well not Top Assist Chef. Gail will be full from the other two course and not care how much Antonia serves.
