He did great, has an absolutely beautiful voice and seems like a very sweet kid. The only reason he lost was because Cook inspired those of us who don't usually vote with his passion and creativity. Okay, and his intelligence and warmth may have been a part of it. too. It wasn't Archie's season to win, but you know he has a great career ahead and a record deal right off the bat. The thing I really like is how much more fun and relaxed he seemed once his Dad was banned. And I just loved the interaction between the 2 Davids. Good stuff. See y'all in the SYTYCD thread tomorrow?

Even the two times Archie has had the pimp spot recently David Cook was #1 on DialIdol. I will buy both David's albums, and I really do think Archie will be better off in 2nd place. Being expected to sell 5 million albums and save the AI franchise is too much pressure for a 17 year old, especially one as quiet and sensitive as Archie seems to be. Now he can relax and put out his album, and not worry about having to outsell Kelly Clarkson or Carrie Underwood. David Cook will be a great winner for American Idol. He's older and more experienced, and better able to handle the pressure of being an AI winner. Now I'm going to watch the final results. I'll probably stay out of this forum for the rest of the evening, because I think it's about to get very fantardy in here. Congratulations, David Cook! And congratulations, David Archuleta! Best final 2 ever! Archie <3 X and Hossc is a good egg <3.
