Debra Bird was on the radio this morning (95 Crave) and said that David was feeling crappy before his performance. In the shot of him and Ramiele waving from
the balcony, apparently the paramedics were on stand-by and when the camera stopped rolling they whisked him away and examined him. After his performance,
Bird said that nobody except for her would have known he was ill, because he did not go for the high notes that she knew he had planned. She said that the
hospital trip was just a precaution and she's sure that he's feeling better now (even though she hadn't been updated on his condition this
morning).
