Twins I used to know, LaBorah and La Brenna. I always felt sorry for the one named after a wild hog.

Or the little girl named Asshole who's mother said it was pronounced uh-SHOW-lee.It's pronounced "Ashley" every time I read this story. This and the Lemonjello story are so old that if they aren't urban legends, they SHOULD be. I've heard the jello one so many times in so many different places, from people who know that they live in town that I don't believe it. At all. My favorite Maury name ever was Quilty. |

Mags, I think the Asshole thing went around for a while as a name to call girls for a while (amongst the trash of society). In Little Rock, where we lived at
the time, it was a topic cause schools were having to deal with these names in the classroom and the teasing these girls got. It DID happen to my friend who
had to call that name out, but she chose to ask for the little girl by her last name and asked the parent, "Um, soooooo how do you pronounce her
name?" Like I said, people should be shot.

People "knew" them where I live now and when I lived in a city 100 miles away from here. |

I already decided I'm naming my kids Damnasia'h and Trohn (like John). They'll love me for it when they're older because having a unique name
"builds character".

I just saw an adorable girl on So You Think You Can Dance. Her name isn't terrible, it just has an annoying spelling: Kherrington. Pffft.

The weirdest one I have come across is a recently popular name, Aidan. This lady spelled her child's name Aodhan.

There was a girl in my class last semester named Keitha. In French that kind of came out as Key-ta which is kind of cool only not so much.
I know 2 girls named Kailie, one spelled that way, and the other spelled Calleigh, which I think should be Callie but strangely is not. There's also Beccy (aka Becky but my aunt is an alcoholic who can't spell), Rylan (who everyone mishears as Ryan, it's an old Scottish name or something), and Meyram which is prounounced Myriam but just spelled incredibly strangely (to be fair she's from Israel, maybe that's how they do it there). Other rediculous names: Jomo (his mom used to dress him up like a girl), Kade (pronounced Ka-DAY), Oshala, Raquelita, Alysia, Chamlon (?) And also my friend Nadine has 2 kids... Christopher "Topher" and Kassandra "Sandie". I want to slap her. When I went to my nephew's birthday party, the other kids there were Markus (not so bad), BrieAnna, and Calil (which was somehow derived from Kal-El, aka Superman). My stepsister's boyfriend has 5 kids from previous relationships, named Kajlah (Kayla), Kyann, Kalixta (she goes by Alex), Kierah, and Kayah. Her daughter with this man is named Kiyah. Her best friend's kids are Nazareth, Naoime, Naarah, Elijah, Isaiah, Elias and Jennifer.
