Well scratch what I originally said.
Archie actually sang a little better, but it's the same old nasally crap. What sucked was how MUCH of a disparity between the two they emphasized. They didn't even say it was close and that we had two stars and let the champion prevailed. They never talk about track record and the fact that Archie had been criticized negatively a LOT more than Cook. They never reverted back to the time when Archie forgot the lyrics not once, twice, but three times in the same song. They didn't even make it a contest. And the sad thing is that they should know better than to let the real star who will be the real success slip away to other record labels. Cook could have been theirs and they could have redeemed themselves for Taylor and Jordin. Instead, they had to make it all about this one night and how they completely tore Cook up. |

I'm thinking that Cook's approach tonight was to continue on his own path, which he rightly figured out probably isn't going to include being the nominal winner of AI. So he didn't want to depart from his own progression in order to "win fans." People who like him will vote for him because they like him more, not because the judges lost their minds during the fake judging. And if the tweentards can seriously vote continuously for four hours and cause the squinty gasptard to "win" the contest, meh. Nice for them and him. It's not seriously going to affect me that much. With that said, VOTE FOR COOK for me, please. |

That ish was Lood-a-cis. Did Iron Mike bite the ears off of the judges? It sounded like they had written those comments weeks ago. Cook kicked ass, and he knew it. If Archie wins, I'm throwing a chair into the ring.

The success of Miley and the Jonas (ha ha ha-anus) Brothers as well as High School Musical is exactly why they want Arch to win. That, along with the fact that they can mold Arch into what they want (despite his father?). A rocker like Cook is more of a loose cannon. He's GREAT for the show as a winner, but not so good for the label since Cook (like Daughtry) is an artist and will want to do his own things. He'd probably cause friction. ETA: Oh, and the irony of it that Cook ends up winning. Wow, just wow! |
