If I noticed correctly both contenders started off at the same spot when clearly the inner lane is shorter than the outer one (unless the figure eight switches up the lanes halfway to make them equal) Steel definitely premieres next week in Earthquake and it seems violence coughhusbandbeatercough really is her specialty. On the previews she's basically outright kicking the red contender in an attempt to get her off of the platform. Tug-o-War (Tilt) also premieres with Toa representing for the guys and fat ass Hellga representing for the girl Spoiler [+] The producers fail, Hellga also sucks at this apparently as her fat ass is shown falling off the wobbly platform Last Edited By: goodyingbadyang 05/20/08 6:23 PM. Contestant A starts on the outside of the "8" contestant B starts on the inside of the "8". The track criss crosses so inevitably contestant B ends up on the outside of the "8" and contestant A ends up on the inside of the "8".

It seems to be part of the problem with most of these events is the scoring. The old show had far more points available to the Gladiators...for example. having the Gladiators compete alongside the Competitors in Sky track gave the competitors a chance to get 10 points for a straight up win, 5 for second...not many beat the Gladiator, but at least someone was getting 5 points typically. Now, most of the competitors are just going to go down at the pull from the rip cord and score 0. Something is still missing...can't put my finger on it (other than the lame breakaways to commercial, and the bad commentary...those are obvious). I still love it far more than most on TV right now.

They should have just went with their original gladiator pick before Hellga but her gladiator name was too risque: I don't think "Gotadick" would resonate with the NBC family feel. I have a feeling Gotadick would be awesome with the Joust stick tho.

It was so nice hearing Venom speak and seeing that she has a female's voice. You never know w/ this gladiators.

If she's the husband beater and she's as fierce on the contestants as she is her husband, it ought to be interesting. If not, she'll probably end up being the female Mayhem: asshole who doesn't pull her weight.

Yeah, it's basically a "LOOK HOW BIG THIS WOMAN IS" thing. I think it's hilarious that she can't do anything. <3 Hellga's massive motionless self being catapulted off the Assault platform, flying through the air like a dead walrus, and landing in the water in bellyflop-fashion is still possibly the best moment on this show.

Still LOVE Crush... she is by far the best female Gladiator hands down... and I am really liking Monica (Jet). As far as the men.. I'd like to see Evan (Rocket) do a few more things than just the wall. It'll be interesting to see where they use him and Zen too for that matter. How about a new challenge made just for them? Something that uses only speed and agility??
