Overall kind of a meh episode. I did like the part where Lily was like "Hey Kids, A huge tanker spilled over today on the shore of Alaska!", and then
the kids started cheering. I loved the fact that "Nice Dream" by Radiohead was playing as the intro to the show. Looks like they are going to
continue the Robin/Barney love connection next season. Then ofcourse the big shocker of the episode was Ted proposing to Stella and the screen going black. If
I didn't know better, this could had been used as a series finale. I just don't think Stella could be the mother because Ted has been telling his kids
the entire time about Stella.

Just because the kids are now aware that Stella is the mother (if she actually is), Ted still isn't done with the whole story. He's gone through the
initial "meeting" but now he has to go through all the steps to the wedding. (calling the show How I Met Your Mother and Everything that Happened
Until You Kids Were Born would be just a bit too long)
Of course I don't think Stella IS their mother but if she is, Ted will continue to tell the story until they are married and the kids are born. I thought the episode was just sort of ok. But Barney is SOOO into Robin. Barney and Robin are going to be together forever! |

If I didn't know better, this could had been used as a series finale. and what a very smart way to end a season if you don't know if you will be renewed (which they didn't at the time.) ted/stella... barney/robin... if cbs cuts the cord and never produced another ep we could all be satisfied with this ending. of course stella was the mother. of course barney and robin lived happily ever after... but... if cbs does give you another season, then they can fuck with these concepts and hilarity can ensue! it could even include goat shit just to fuck with p'ha. 
that was the smartest "i don't know if we'll get another season" episode i've ever seen on television. and i laughed my ass off at pencils dropping from the ceiling and landing in noses. and custom's gags. dogs becoming turtles. come on... that shit was funny. two thumbs up. |

Absolutely loved it. Oops, sorry about that. I got choked up when Barney and Ted re-ignited their bromance, when Barney had that little look in his eye at Robin. Just a great episode. I thought all of the jokes hit very well. I'm going to miss this show until the fall. <3 Sirscratchawan |

OK, someone give me a good title to hold us through the summer. Here's some thoughts:
"Miracles - meh..." "Where a pencil in the nose is a sign from god" "A drunk jackass called called god and a box of pencils called destiny" - might be too long though, could shorten to "Jackass = god, pencils = destiny... Miracle!!!" "We're good" "canine testudine cerebroxenograph... oh yeah!" OK, that's what I got for now. Let me know what you think. :) |

Anyway, great episode! Sirscratchewan almost made me pee my pants, I love the Canada jokes. I love that Robin and Barney are gonna be making a connection next season, I was disappointed it was only a one night thing so it's good to see they'll be progressing that. I'm still not convinced Stella is the mother though. I don't think it's gonna be that easy. Barney Stinson is seriously my idol. I don't know anyone else but me that actually says B T W. |

I HATE Stella as "the one." She drags down every scene she's in, there is ZERO chemistry with him OR the others, and she / her storyline sucks
