Loved that Penny and Leonard got together and how awkward it was. Very real reflection of real life. You spend so much time chasing someone that when you FINALLY get them (which usually doesn't happen, but when it does), it's so awkward that you don't even know what to do. Oh, and Howard searching for the boyfriend's blog caused many laffos.

It's clear who the real star of this show is.

When Sheldon explained it to Penny, my husband said, "That's brilliant" which made me laugh even harder when that was Leonard's response. I know I've said it before, but this show is the one that I find myself consistently laughing all the way though. I have other comedies that I love, but I don't laugh as regularly as I do with Big Bang. So glad it's coming back. I assumed that it would be cancelled because most of the shows I like end up going that way.

The sequence where they're using the internet to turn on their lamps, then the public access pervs take over the remote controlled cars to look up Penny's skirt? GOLD! Terrific ensemble cast. I don't know why it took me this long to get hooked. Maybe there was too much else going on on Mondays? I should've known though -- Chuck Lorre's a genius.

Posts: 324 (06/18/08 11:27 PM) Reply Quote More Recent Posts Message Connection Block Invite	and found that I've really come to like this show. me too... donna over at the av club on the onion has been going through the first season of "newsradio" for the last few weeks. i loved newsradio. i remember its fondly as one of my favorite sitcoms of all time. (perhaps its just my forever lust for maura tierney. sigh) to follow along with her critique i've been rewatching the newsradio first season eps on youtube. as great as i remember newsradio to be, its first season didn't really show any more promise than the first season of TBBT (the "citizen kane" factor aside because i never thought newsradio was all that "breakthrough"...) TBBT is a sitcom. its funny. if "life according to jim" outlasts this one i will be truly disappointed...
