there is so much they could do with her...pregnancy, disease ( i would vote breast cancer)...or maybe she freaks out and and finds a hot lesbian lover ... :)

I know they "dealt" with Edie...but I was just thinking...if they aren't killing her off...if she's coming back next season...it would have
been so great to see a flash forward of Edie. Could have totally set up another great story...

I'm not getting why they couldn't bring Julie back? Julie would be graduated from Princeton by then, wouldn't she? They're bringing Andrew
back why not Julie? Also, what the hell ever happened to Zach? I've completely blanked on last season and can't remember how they wrapped up that
storyline.

I think the fast forward was a great idea. It opens up so many new possibilities. I'm not sure how I feel about the paths they chose, especially Gabby.
I hope they find a way to bring Julie back.
I can't wait to see what happened to Mike. Slow painful death? ::crosses fingers:: |

Why is Lynette a 1980's female stand-up comic in the future?

So I liked the finale, I am going to have to get used to the jump five years in the future. I felt like I was watching a dream sequence or something. It was
weird. Didn't buy Andrew as older...actually I think all of the future plots I'll enjoy besides Bree. I just don't know if I can take it seriously
that Bree is famous. The Gabi plotline with her fat children who don't live up to her expectations sounds great, so happy that Mike and Susan are no longer
together, and though expected I loved the Lynette plot.
Why get rid of Julie, if it has been five years why can't she come back from after college? I assume she'll have at least one guest visit next season. No word on Edie? Hmmm I hope that maybe they resolve the Susan husband cliff hanger in the first episode and then start a new plot with Edie. Glad that Katherine is still in and I am interested to see where they go with her. Actually I am pretty interested overall where they go with this. |

I hate the idea of the 5 years jump, especially the paths they had them take.
Really bummed about Julie as well. I thought she was one of the best things about Susan. Who is that kissing Susan, is it Katherine's ex or am I hallucinating? ETA: I was hallucinating. Nevermind.

Ok, first off, why the f*ck aren't last nite's episodes available for download on iTunes yet? They're usually ready by Monday morning which gives
me enough to time d/l them as I carry on my daily morning routine, upload then upload them before heading off to work. Its a few mins. past 8pm right now.
WTF!?!?!?
Ok, second, I'm totally confused about the 5 year fast forward into the future. Last nite I went to bed thinking that, that's where the ladies will be in 5 years (3 seasons from now) and when season 5 begins, we'll be back in regular time. I was under the assumption that the next 3 seasons will be leading up to that point. I was so PO'd last nite! I lost some sleep over the whole thing. I was so mad at Marc Cherry and the writers. I could not believe how they would severely limit/restrict themselves like that. I thought it was the most RETARDED THING EVER!!! I figured that if that was supposed to be them in 5 years, over the next 3 seasons we know that none our ladies will be in any real danger and even if they are, they're going make it out just fine. How lame would that be knowing that no new housewives/characters would enter the circle. I was just like...LAME, LAME, LAME!!!! But then I got home and read some people's posts here and I came to the realization that maybe season 5 will start off at that point in the future. And that along the course of the next 3 seasons we'll get flashbacks that will help us piece the puzzle together of how they got to wear they are. That makes much more sense and I kind of like that idea. I really hate what Marc has done to Bree. WHERE THE F*CK IS THE BREE HAIR FLIP???? WTF!?!? I miss season 1-2 Bree. :-( Gabby...why the f*ck are her 2 girls sooooooooooooooooooo ugly!?!? I mean, Carlos isn't a bad looking guy and Gabby is gorgeous. Why on earth would their children come out looking so repulsive? Lynette...interesting. I love how Tom & Lynette are still together. I've always felt that THAT would be the couple that would make it through the show's entire run. They're the ones who will be there through thick and thin, richer or poorer, in sickness and in health. Tom's speech last nite made it crystal clear that they'll be with eachother til the end of time. Anywho, I can't wait to see what actors they chose to portray the kids as teenagers! Susan...consider me a cheerleader for anything that expedites getting Mike off the show. Huzzah!!!! I don't care what happened to Mike so long as he never returns. He's the worst character...ever. I love Karl. :-) But seriously, who the f*ck was that? I thought it was Adam too! LoL. I figured he needed plastic surgery to fix his face after Wayne's brutal beating. Katherine...I'm glad Dana has been added as permanent addition to the cast. :-) I hope Edie does return next season after a "5 year absence" from Wisteria Lane. I also hope that at some point Felicia and Paul return. I <3'd that storyline and how it ended in season 2. Oooh, I loved seeing Mary Alice in last nite's mystery flashback! :-) I throughly enjoyed how they mystery was set up and played out. The flashbacks all connected quite well. Wasn't a big fan of how the villain killings played out. I mean...of all the houses Ellie just happened to step in Kat's house. Really!? Really!?!? *rolleyes* I guess the fast forward was an interesting way to end the season. But, I still prefer the previous season's finales and cliffhangers. Finale episodes: season 1 > season 2 > season 3 > season 4 Cliffhangers: season 2 > season 3 > season 1 > season 4 (As far as cliffhangers, if they had gone with Marc Cherry's original storyline for Bree & Orson, he (Orson) was supposed to work his way into the VanDeKamp household and somehow inflict pain onto the family, but at that point people were tired of seeing Bree suffering so he (Marc) changed it up and made Orson a good guy. People were tired of seeing Bree wind up with no good psychos. So, Marc chickened out and changed the storyline to make him seem like a villain (wife killer) but turn out to be a good guy. Anywho, season 2 ended with Orson unexpectedly stopping by to visit Bree and as she welcomed him into her house, the camera panned upwards toward the sky as ominous music began to play. They really set up the scene to portray Orson as bad news. I was DYING to see how that would play out. Unfortunately, it never did. :-/). |

Oh I'm relieved they went this route with Orson. She DID just have a psycho boyfriend. That would have been a total re-tread. Now we get Orson all the
time. He's a great addition.
I avoided spoilers like the plague and I figured it had to do with Edie so I was floored when it jumped ahead 5 years. Not unprecedented by any means (Alias skipped ahead 2 years at the end of S2). And like it was mentioned in an article they will be filling in the gaps with flashbacks. I think it's a great jolt to the franchise, especially with 3 years left to go (with Cherry and 2 leads at least). I don't love his idea to do a prequel for the final season though. LOVED Gabby's 'affair with the electrician'. I love the way she thinks on her feet. Her non-reaction to Carlos' anger was hilarious. "You have to believe me, you're blind!" The opening with the names was a nice touch and a cute visual link too. Later Gabby's assessments of their names "If you're name was Francesca you'd be having lots of sex on Vespas" was Loved Lee/Bob getting to be a focal point for the show with their commitment ceremony. Loved how so much happened around it. Lee standing up for himself/Bob planning to buy him off with jewelery and then finally om laying it all down for them and Lynette was amazing. Funny with a poignant final touch. So happy Tom grew a pair and tossed Kayla out of town. And I knew Katherine was in good when all the ladies worked together to protect her after the shooting. I would have been happy if that had been the ending. Bree being mad at Orson for throwing his calligraphy skills in her face in her time of need Mary Alice <3 I thought for a second that there was going to be a baby switch in the past and one of the kids (Danielle) was going to be the real Dylan for a minute. I was waiting and waiting for Gale to show up and by the time he did I was surprised. Well done. |

I bet Edie is going to come back married to Mike...
I loved how the 4 houseives all corroborated on a story to save Katherine after saying that she would never become a regular friend in thier neighborhood. I also love how Katherine just shot him. I figured it would be Bree who would have gotten the gun and shot him after seeing them both at the shooting range. (Which I still think is still bizzare that Bree knows so much about guns, being the proper housewife.) Don't know how I feel about the 5 year leap just yet.. I really did like Julie and will miss her on the show. They can't be Gabby's kids.. because even if Gabby is preggers in the finale, the kids can only 4+ at the most.. and that's way too big for 4 years old. |

Maybe I didn't read it right or read everything but didn't the article just say that the following characters/actors were not EXPECTED back? I
don't think it was a solid "They're outta here!" commitment. Obviously the kids were gone except flashbacks but I can easily see Julie and
Dylan and even Danielle popping up if only in a recurring basis.

If it doesn't work it could be Edie's dream. Who else would make Gaby fumpy with an overweight kid? And, I bet she's with Mike.

Eh, jumping ahead 5 years really just shows that the writers had nothing creative left so by making this huge jump, it's a way to start fresh. I
don't know how I feel about it yet. I hope both Mike & Edie stay gone. Niether really bring anything to the show. We get it, Edie, you're a slut.
As far as the kids, there's potential for Dylan, Danielle, and Julie to get some good storylines in so if the writers don't use them, it will be a
missed opportunity. And I love that Katherine is sticking around. Dana Delaney is one incredible actress, and her wit could give this show a boost.
