Yeah same here. The weather updates came on about the time Bill Hader and Fred Armisen were impersonating those Grand Theft Auto people. I didn't get to
see any of the rest of the show because they had continuing weather coverage until at 2:00 in the morning.

Kristin Wiig's Suze Orman was hilarious! I had always wondered how Suze gets her hair to look like that...

Nice bonus having Ricky Gervais introduce it too.

Ha Ha ha. Names that sound like dirty phrases. They did this before with Robert DeNiro reading off the "terrorist" trading card names a few years
ago.
The split screen Obama/Hillary was sort of creeping me out! I'm glad they cut back on the long "Hillary" ranting monologues for the season finale. They were getting old! Finally, Jon McCain gets his cameo. I'm not a Republican or a Democrat, but the show has been Obama/Hillary heavy so much that it is overdone. There is plenty of material to satirize John McCain and Republicans, yet this bent has been vacant on the show as of recently. Yes, Hillary/Obama is topical, but it's the same story every week! Another primary, a few heated criticisms, and a race so close its yet to be determined. I'll bet the writers were relieved that they are now on hiatus and don't have to write anymore tired democratic primary material. Best Digital Short of the season... The Japanese version of The Office. I loved Jason & Kristin when they played Jim/Pam for the opener when Rainn Wilson hosted, and they did it again. Also, it was great to see Steve bring on his wife, Nancy Carell, formerly Nancy Walls who was a cast member in the Shannon/Ferrell/Gasteyer era. One final note... after a dismal performance by Usher in the season finale, it begs to have the show reconsider having a musical guest at all. Although, I will admit, its great having those few extra minutes before update to walk into the kitchen, knowing you won't miss anything to make another drink! |

same here. it was he last skit, so evidently they didn't think it was very strong, but something about the whole thing just hit me a certain way and i couldn't stop laughing. kristin wiig was great as usual in 2 a-holes: "it's about butt sex". |

WTF happened to Usher anyway? He used to be hot. Now he's a porkster with a wide ass who can't sing anymore.
Loved the two a-holes. As usual. |

I don't think they should get rid of the music and make it a 1 hour show. Yeah I know the band usually sucks but sometimes you get utter brilliance too.
Beck's Clap Hands was one of the coolest things ever! So really they just need less Usher and more Beck.

Yeah, "Clap Hands" was possibly the best thing on SNL this entire decade so far.
I rarely pay attention to the musical guests but it's too much of a tradition to give up now and nothing excites me more for an SNL episode than hearing that Beck or Foo Fighters or some other artist I like is performing. Even when there's an awesome host lined up, the material still might suck, but you usually know what you're getting into with the music act (although Foo Fighters being stuck doing just one song and Bon Jovi doing two pisses me off to this day). |
